I am a devout, born-again Christian who definitely has a bend towards evangelism and/or trying to help new believers to grow in their walks with the Lord. I am very serious on one hand, and I have a goofy sense of humor (that hardly anybody appreciates) on the other hand.
May I ask what you meant when you said that you would like to meet someone? Are you talking about hopefully making friends here? About hopefully encountering likeminded believers here? Something else?
I’m just looking for connection with another person I think. I’m home alone this week, and the temptation of adult websites is strong. …I want to be respectful here.

be what you are looking for. For whatever reason it appears most on here are reluctant to
share their real-life pic. I always felt it seemed more congenial and friendly on this type of platform, but
it appears not the case. All info is internet searchable and with the right tech tools, there is no
'hiding' from the eyes of the internet world. Being fearful is not the same as being cautious. But,
then we all have our own views.

Btw, if watching porn (which is what I am guessing you mean by "adult websites") has been an issue with you in the past, then you should confess that as sin before God (if you have not already), also ask God to purge your conscience from that dead work in the blood of Christ.
Heb 9:14
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Doing so ought to help to remove, or at least lessen, the pull of that temptation.

If it is me, then Las Vegas might have just lost a lot of money. The last time that I checked, the odds were a gazillion-to-one that I would ever make a friend here.

Yea, that is an example of my goofy sense of humor. Anyhow, if you were asking me, then I am doing fine. I see that you are conversing with another female member here, and I am happy about that. I did not mean to come across as a prude in an earlier response. It is just that in the situation that you described, women here might be more helpful to you than men here. I hope that you understand.

we can't live in this flesh without committing sin its the disease we inherited but the battle is too sin as least as you can and If you do slip remember the enemy is a liar Father understands your battle and He is Abundantly Patient and will give you time too conquer your battles, if you Love Him He will be by your side as long as you want Him there, what I mean is He is so Faithful Loyal Loving and Understanding nothing can rip you from His Arms. I struggle with so many addictions and I constantly slip but He always Reassures me that He is There , Bless you xx

Hi Beth033, great Intro and gorgeous pics, welcome to CC! In this fallen world we as Christians have to choose to make wise choices. Simply bypass anything that smells of the enemy/fleshly lusts and find some good Christian movies and good preachers to listen, plus a few good classic movies and fam programs. I pray you will keep afloat and not sink bc that only spells sorrow and regret. God bless you both and have a great new year in Christ
