I have found it remarkably effective for some things though. Especially for fending off matchmakers. They have trouble making matches when their hair is on fire.
Word play aside, I was just offering an observation about a downside to being single, relating to ministration and the opposite sex.
When we're caring and obliging, as brothers and sisters should be, some single women (and men) can get their purposes crossed. The brother who wants to see his sisters all dressed in white at the marriage supper of the Lamb, can be misconstrued for wanting more.
Being married must help negate that quandary, a figurative flamethrower if you will.
