I posted in the prayer request group about this but my friend is losing her faith. She is asking some very complicated questions that I don't have the answers for. I try to tell her to trust God but it doesn't seem to satisfy her like it used to. I am devastated. How can I help her?

Hi, Katie.

On one hand, I am thinking that it might be good if you asked some of her questions here so that we might possibly help you to answer them.

On the other hand, and I hate to say this, but I am an honest guy, so, here goes, you might be better off not asking her questions here because you will more than likely receive several answers that conflict with each other.

For now, I will just pray for your friend, and for God to give you wisdom how to best help her. I commend you, btw, for caring about your friend.

God bless you.

Thank you so much. I feel so conflicted. I am thinking about getting her to join these forums so she can ask these things for herself. I am so worried for her. She's been getting into some interesting books and I'm hoping to start a little book club with other believers because she is determined to read them. I honestly don't know what to think of them. I'll probably make a separate post about them later and I will see if I can get her to make an account on here.

Well if you want book recommendations...

https://christianchat.com/miscellaneous/book-recommendations.201293/

It was started by an argumentative person, and the first part of the thread is him arguing with a lot of people, but there are some good recommendations in there.

(None of them are from me. I can't take any credit for any good book recommendations in that thread.)

These books she is getting into are...Christian I think? It looks like the author is coming back to Jesus but in the past they have written some deeply concerning things. There are three books by this person that are explicitly Christian and she is really excited to read them. I want to have a group of real Christians reading with us to help us stay clear headed about this all. I also want her to start making more Christian connections. It's been so stressful.

Here are the books I am talking about:

The Rise of Erenthia - This looks like it was written a long time ago. I think it's the same person.

R. I. Polsgrove/Alexis RECENTLY published these:
The Bible Study for Bad Christians
Finding My Way Back

So I think she's coming back to Christ. I really want to read The Rise of Erenthia. It looks like R. I. Polsgrove is on her way back to Christ and I am so excited for her but I don't know for sure. I think this could be good for Ashley too.
