I’m glad you are the one seeing things clearly. It’s no doubt you have spent those decades in New England. People from that region have a tendency of being the down your nose know-it-all personality.

Your posts are making less sense now than just a few days ago. Instead of degrading everyone not in full agreement with you, take the time and show some respect for others. You don’t want to come across a clown.
Please, i respond in kind.
This means that you have to think about what you say, or don't say anything at all.

The whole "higher then you" attitude is exhibited by you not me who claim to have all the answers about how Trump is the worst thing that has happened to society or your indoctrination about Russian affairs.

Have you no sympathy? Can you not for a moment forget what he wrote and imagine the horror of having to go into the office to work?
I’m sure, but I have never had a job where I could work from home, so I wouldn’t know.

"Just in it for the money"? Really? You don't think they also enjoy being on TV and being invited to swanky parties and getting to fly first class to exotic islands?
I did state advantage, meaning the larger perks that are given to them.

You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all.😂

You must have missed the pandemic, I never would have thought that I could teach HS from home, but hey, that is what they had us do. I was able to go to the January 6th patriotic event in Washington DC and still teach my classes using the wifi in my hotel room.

Sorry about that reference to exotic islands I don't wish to imply they all went to Epstein island.

A little bit more complicated when you are a sailor or a cop.

This is what Musk really wanted, a detailed description of what every job does so that He can calculate how much of that work can be done by AI and how many workers he needs to be left to help train the AI.

We should point out to Musk that if he sends emails out to hundreds of thousands of Federal employees asking them what they did last week, and if he intends on repeating this week after week afterwards he will then need to hire new Federal employees to receive, read and review their job performances which will increase Federal employees instead of reducing them. I get dibbies on the new Federal employee position that makes sure that the ones he hired to do it are preforming their weekly task.

This is very true, but again going to private sector for examples which is more "streamlined" than the government, these types of emails are sent out in the first month during a re-org, in order to find out who's the weakest link and then the CIO finds out how many people do the same type of job and if 20 people are needed for that job or if 15 or 10 are needed.
Again, i mentioned my department.
About 50% of the people are useless in IT because they're middle level management.
That wouldn't be so bad if they helped but not only they don't help but they put barriers to prevent you from helping the customer.

You're dealing with a crazy amount of egos basically.
Everyone that is a manager, their head gets too big and they think that they are the king of the world now so they don't treat their employees well.
During my experience in different jobs, i have found that only a handful of managers protect their team. Most of them see their team as a "tool" so they can be promoted to a higher position.
Very very few, take time to thank their subordinates, give them fair reviews (which means that the manger has to do his job and keep up with the 20-30 people in their team to know what they're doing) and who encourage their subordinates to seek different training for better salary.

I've had about 10 managers during my work-life .
Only 3 of them had the characteristics of being 'selfless' where they give you fair reviews, protect you and they encourage you to seek training so you can get more money.

The rest of them ask you at review time to 'Write your own review'.
Soooooo if i write my own review, then what you say you do here Mr. Manager?

The one that happened in the 20?
No, why would that be a conspiracy?
I see nothing wrong with @Intersection preparing for what is so clearly going to happen sooner or later, so what he is doing is not based on "conspiracy" because we can certainly see that things can and do go terribly wrong even in a supposed market economy.

I am not sure why you are deriding his efforts to be prepared.

There are so many times I want to ask that question. It's typically the people that get paid the best that get excited about coming into work and the first to leave when the actual work picks up.

First of all preppers exist in significant numbers in USA.
They even made a show about them in on of the TV channels. You know why? Because they're entertaining!
No one is stopping preppers to do anything. Everyone has free will do make their choices here.

When you compare the depression with "what's about to happen" which may not happen especially since the factors arent there, then this is also funny.
I mean, i thought the 2008 financial crisis would be a wake up call for America. But guess what? I was wrong too!
Apparently even that didn't shake people from their habits and apparently Accountability is not a word that exists in the vocabulary anymore and apparently ideals such as Capitalism or Free-Market are not black and white but a little bendable here and there depending on the situation.
