More than 5 yrs ago, after a Bible Study, my soon to be Daughter in Law was visibly upset. She opened up to my wife and I that she had just found out that she very likely wouldn't be able to have children because of a condition she has.

I think she was also a little afraid we would counsel our son to possibly rethink marriage because of this. She absolutely did not say that, it was just a sense we got.

Of course we were beyond sympathetic and wouldn't dream of saying anything to our son in that regard.

So for almost 5 yrs of marriage they prayed and tried a couple of fertility treatments to no avail.

Well we found out last month that she is INDEED expecting in early September!!!

I know we're not to live by our feelings but by what we believe, but sometimes, INCREDIBLE times, those 2 things merge in a way that is so special, that all I want to do is stay exactly in that moment. Does anybody else think and feel this way? And if so can you give a story about those times? Thanks sisters and brothers for your daily encouragement!

I feel what I believe engenders feelings. If I'm feeling insecure at my job my faith brings me to my Father's assurance in Matthew 6:25 to 31.
If I can't sleep I'm made secure by the wisdom of Proverbs 3:24.

Everything we feel is wrapped in God's words of wisdom.

What better feeling than living eternally beloved and secure in Christ?

Our feelings were given to us and created for us by our Lord.

But in our fleshly fallen bodies our feelings can lead us away from the Father.

For instance, I may feel that I want to have relations with multiple women.

So instead, I need to rely on what Truth is through the Word, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. So I would need to reject those feelings.

But there are those times when our feelings and desires line up exactly with God’s provisions in our life. That’s kinda what this thread is about. Those incredible times when God’s Grace is so evident, that it elicits those wonderful feelings.

But I do like what you said about going to God when your feelings don’t align with His Will.

My DIL is due next month.

She recently had a scare that something was seriously wrong with the baby.

I want to thank and praise God that everything is ok with him! Be very grateful once he's here. Please pray for continued health for mom to be and baby. Thank you.

Some young lady is going to get a very big, loving, heart from him one day. Till then, he knows his family, and especially the Lord, always loves, and has his best interests at heart.

Incredible how amazing our Lord is.

That post all those yrs ago was about my younger son. He has sinced married in 2021, and although his wife had major issues conceiving, she did, and our first grandson was born 1 year ago yesterday.

During his birthday party we learned that she is pregnant AGAIN and due with another grandson in March!

This will be grandson number 3 . I’ll explain number 2 in next post.

But thank dear Lord, your grace and blessings are unbelievable. WE LOVE YOU.

“I love you Lord!
Asking my brothers and sisters in Christ to lift up my son in prayer. He is really struggling with a lack of direction, lonliness, and worse a feeling of not caring. I believe from caring too much and has used the lack of care as a defense mechanism so as not to get hurt. He overanalyze virtually every decision however small. He is depressed but is resisting counseling or medication. I know the Lord can draw him out of this so I'm asking for prayer. Thank you.”


Fast forward to today:
He is a Messiah University graduate, with a degree in Civil Engineering.

He has a great job designing Chik-fil-As and Costco footprints.

He met a girl, got married last October 5th.

Two days ago, he welcomed his first son, Josiah Jordan (J J)!!

Our second grandson.

How incredible are God’s blessings?

He’s going to be fine, but I’d ask for prayers, as he only has one kidney. They knew that many months ago.
