This is a real time test of whether Americans prefer inflation or whether they prefer mass job losses?

This is a real time test of whether Americans prefer inflation or whether they prefer mass job losses?
Americans prefer both.
Here are the reasons why.

Job Losses.
Americans have been asking for this day for decades where they could see thousands of Federal Employs fired, their departments dismantled, and all the bureaucrats fired.
On the private sector field, Americans have been waiting for decades for all the incompetent DEI hires to be fired, all the racist hiring practices to end and to go back to having a job based on merit, not because of the color of your skin or the color of your hair like Martin Luther King said.

Tariffs.

Many Trump supporters who voted in majority to give the Republicans the trifecta win for this season are such diehard fans, that they will pay $100 per gallon before they give up supporting their President!
This means that all the foreign nations that will be waging a tariff war with USA, will be completely dry and destroyed, unless they come to the negotiating table and unless manufacturing comes back to USA, which is the point of this tariff war anyway.
The other point is that other nations impose tariffs on American products, so anything that is made in USA is rarely bought in other nations because of high tariffs.
So if the question is: who’s going to fold first? It sure aint gonna be Americans.
The toughest opponent might be the Chinese actually because those guys are used to eating dirt before they give up.:)
So we will see how it goes.

I don't know. I wish somebody would show Trump some of the news clips from his campaign speeches where he was talking about how Bidenomics was why gas and food was way too high and show him the crowd clapping and chanting Trump when he promised to end that day one.

Wooohoooo!
My prayers might be answered and I had no idea how.
Target, Walmart and Bozos Amazon doubled their companies because of their government monopolies.
May they go out of business and the Mom and Pop Brick and Mortar stores come back.

That's not how loyalty works especially since it was won by the REJECTION of anything liberal-related.

I agree Trump should be loyal to his supporters and resist the urge to do liberal related things for us.
That's not how that's understood by the base i think.
The base will understand that "we will sacrifice a lot before anything good happens with the tariffs" and "we wanted this path because the other option was lunacy".

I guess if you have twenty extra dollars to put in your gas tank and your pantry is full. To me and probably a lot of other supporters we remember him talking about gas being real cheap in his first term and the economy was the greatest, so prices going up instead of down isn't what I was clapping about.

This is why he told the farmers "bear with me while we go over this hump".
But in his first month he has done monumental work in dismantling all the woke enterprise in US.
Now, the external tariff war is going to be rough but it will have a happy ending. Trade will be balanced as it should be and there will be more growth in US so then the products made here can be exported to other countries fairly and without tariffs on their end.
This means that farmers here will be able to export their products worldwide and Trump complained that Europe doesn't buy a lot from our farmers.
So yes, there will be some turbulence during this altitude but then it should be smooth sailing.

Most farmers are destroying soil fertility.

That is the new song but I was meaning the song he was singing before the election. You might want to look at some of the news stories out of Mexico if you know Spanish because Sheinbaum just grinned and began making better deals to all the rest of the Countries that buy their exports and China is of the same mind to just end US trade and sell it to the rest of the people.

You know, i always have a hard time with the Mexico President who is called Sheinbaum who i initially thought was of German descent but @ZNP informed me she is Jewish. :) Not sure if this makes it better but strange name for a Mexican president.

It will get a bit ugly but this is another thing that needs to be resolved because a lot of countries have been freeloading from the US Market which is the Pot of Gold as Trump put it.
They freeload here because this is where the money is. This is why US despite bleeding money everywhere, still spends more money on military than 6 more powerful nations combined!
So they know it but they're hoping the people here will fold. I doubt the base and the voters will fold because that's not how loyalty works and that's why the left keeps miscalculating Trump on every move since he announced presidency.

Where do you believe the physical money is in the United States of America?

He's a long-term subscriber here don't worry. He's been here since i've been here and comes back with different usernames since he gets banned.
His style is polls, lame memes and clips. A lot of people take his bait but i don't.
He did make a funny joke about satan converting country music to metal music which made me laugh so i give him credit when credit is due. :D

Well yes and no but in actuality I think the auto makers here in the US probably explained to Trump that the car parts come from Mexico but make several trips back and forth during their assembly. Which is probably why he put a pause on that part of the tariffs today. It would be interesting to see 25% tariffs put on car parts multiple times before they put the price on a new car. And yes Sheinbaum is Jewish also there is a very large Mexican population of Jews in Mexico. You have to remember Mexican refers to the nation they are citizens of not their race. https://www.reuters.com/world/ameri...s-after-us-tariffs-president-says-2025-03-05/

Makes sense about why he paused the tariffs.
One of my friends has a car dealership and about 15 years ago he told me that Mercedes Benz parts are made in Mexico.
Before that there used to be a manufacturing plant somewhere near the Alabama region but i don't remember where since it was a long time ago.
So, all these details will be ironed out and it's wise he paused it for a month.
We will see how it goes. It will get ugly that's for sure.
