"Clergy" is derived from the Greek word "kleroo" which mean "a portion, an inheritance or a claim to a family estate".
In the New Testament, all believers, through Christ, have a rightful claim to the lineage of the King and His kingdom. All have an inheritance in Christ. God does not separate clergy (priests) from laity (the people) like men do.
