Hello everyone!

I’m still a bit shy... It took me days to take the step to register. My name is Dennie. I ended up here for various reasons, but the biggest hope I have is to be able to talk to people who are genuinely kind-hearted that can advise me. I have so many things I want to get off my chest.

But I won’t do that right away in my welcome post.

To be honest, I’m not sure if I’m religious or if I consider myself a Christian. I grew up in a Christian environment, but my parents didn’t take it very seriously, and neither did I.

Don’t hesitate to ask me direct questions. I’m new here, and maybe by answering them, you’ll get a better picture of who I am.

Thank you for letting me join your community.

English is not my native language but I put in a lot of effort and time to write as good as I can.

^ Gospel of John is often recommended as a great place to start reading the Bible.
This movie is a word-for-Word portrayal of John's gospel.

Also, please check out the Alpha Course.

There are 10 videos total. I hope you watch them. They could benefit you greatly .:)

G'Day Dennie and welcome aboard CC.. I hope you are blessed from your interactions here..

So a Direct question.. Lets try this one.. Since i do not know where you are in your knowledge of Christianity let me ask you this question to help me find out..

Question: In Christianity how is one reconciled to God to have eternal life with God in His perfect eternal existence? By the way i am not asking you what you believe.. I am asking to simply understand your knowledge..

Your English is better than some who are native English speakers. Welcome, by the way.

This is what they teached me: One is reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for humanity’s sins and rose again?

Hi Dennie.. That sounds like a common standard statement that a lot of churches would put out there.. I would state that One obtains eternity with God by having their sins justly forgiven by them trusting that the death of Jesus on the cross pays the penalty that was due upon them for their sins and by believing Jesus =, His teachings in the Bible.. And yeah Jesus rose again on the third day after His execution..

I sometimes find that people can recount similar statements of faith as you have but not really understand what their statement actually means.. I like to express things as plainly and in a way simply as possible..

Anyway thanks for your response Dennie.. Feel free to bring up any other points / questions you like in the forum.. Take care (y)
