I needed to order some things from Hellmart today for some projects I'm working on. I decided to get something for lunch from the deli while I was at it. I got this tasty bbq pork sandwich and cheese bites for 3.47 for both of them. I have no regrets...

Tonight, seeing how it's St. Patrick's day....

Corned beef, cabbage and potatoes.
Horseradish sauce too. Scratch sourdough I just baked as well.

Ahhhhh.....
Been a while since we've had this.
It's spicy, burns your nose....and absolutely delicious. Makes you feel alive after having a meal like that.

PS.
I "corned" meaning cured and spiced the brisket myself. Completely different flavor from supermarket corned beef in those packages. This one has so much more beef flavor and the spices come shining through.

Another one for the record books.

I made chicken pot pie, the first one in years. I'll be baking it soon; will try to post a pic and a review lol! If it's good I'll post my "recipe"!

Well...no pic I guess! I forgot to take one before we dug into it. But my siblings gave it a ten, all except my little sister who gave it a nine cuz it has peppers in it lol!

I used an easy pie crust recipe, and for the filling just used what I had: potatoes, carrots, celery, onions and peppers, and chicken. Seasoned it with salt and pepper, cayenne, paprika, garlic, ground mustard, coriander, and thyme. I made a white sauce and poured it all in the crust. Topped it with homemade biscuit dough and baked a little over an hour.

There is this place in Costa Mesa, California where all they make are foods that resemble chicken pot pie. It’s probably one of this house’s top three food places.

We have to drive around 30-35 miles just to pick it up and 30-35 miles back to bring it home and eat it.

The quality is top tier.
