Love ya sis. I love this guy also........Trumps pick with RFK Jr only helps his efforts. RFK is in support of organic and regenerative farming.
I grew up walking corn and soybean fields to pick weeds. Now Everything is roundup ready. GMO.

I am glad this administration is making this a priority as well, I hope they do the same with the PFAS problem.
My wife and I moved back to South Dakota and tried the hobby farm. We were surrounded with corn fields that were roundup ready and sprayed. We were on 10 Acres and were too close to the spray (round-up)to be considered organic. We did ok, but it was a far cry from the time I grew up there.
It is really sad how things have changed and what some big corporations have gotten away with over the years.

I know Dow - Corning is a company that has been guilty of putting this into our environment in their manufacturing process.
The movie Dark Waters (excellent,sad movie btw 2019) based on a true story did an good job exposing the use of this forever chemical which is now everywhere and in our bodies.

I agree. But I put the blame on the consumers mostly.There are still alternatives. But we usually go the easy and cheapest route.
I knew a few farmers who refused to take government money(which stipulates how you run your farm) and did very well.
They did their due diligence in research. Worked a bit harder and kept it more traditional.....but most went the easy route. And sad to say......made and were "given" a LOT more money.
With corporations we still have alternatives and choices.
With government and regulations~~We have no choice.
Yes very true, except the corporations are powerful lobbyists (and spread money around) for those regulations and government polices.
I am not without hope, I think this return to regenerative farming is a step in the right direction, positive change just takes time.
As mentioned before, while regenerative farming is a nice idea to feed you family, your cousins or even your neighborhood, it won't and it can't support the demand of millions of people who need food everyday.
In Massachusetts we have many local farms who are active during the summer, where i also buy stuff from them.
While their products are clean and without pesticides, they only serve for a short amount of time, for a very small segment of the population or maybe 2-3 towns.
What about the other months of the year and during the winter?

I learned last night that Phil Giraldi (ex CIA) went in and told Bush there were no weapons of mass destruction and then resigned, a country cannot move forward when the leader is surrounded by bootlickers, sorry but true.

You are exactly right. If there is an alternative around the corner and a better way of doing it.....It needs to come out of grass roots.

Polyfluoroalkyl Substances refers to the many fluoro or fluoride molecules that make up their forever chemicals.
When I did discovered what Teflon non stick pans were made of, I got rid of all of my cookware, replaced it with stainless steel and cast iron.
Industries put fluoride into the air to dispose of it. I know someone who used to smelt aluminum and that's what they did with it. There are others, like the fertilizer industries that sell their toxic waste by products to other industries that market their products as dental care drugs. It's dumped into most municipal water plants by the local governments.....nothing but toxic wastes.

What was dumb was said CEO's rushing to export jobs to China over the last 50 years or so. The West's businesses have enabled China to make enormous progress which is now being used against the Western world. China has had a free ride for decades, imposing huge tariffs on imports while exporting goods on the cheap, sometimes below cost. I discovered these things through my work.Sad the leader of the land has no clue, I learned this in my first year economics class.

China sees no wrongdoing in stealing IP. They copy designs. There are a lot of Chinese in research in overseas institutions. Chinese nationals have been caught forwarding the research to China. China also weaponises trade to bully other countries into submission.
I've met of Chinese people through work and travel. Many are intelligent and work hard. I have much respect for them. The government of China? Not at all. It's authoritarian and seeks total control of all aspects of China's society.
Mr Trump may be unsubtle in his execution, but his principles make sense. India imposes 700% tariffs on some American goods. That is absurd.
Of course, CEOs are entirely altruistic and not at all self seeking capitalists. Much.
