I've been on other sites that will ban such insolent behavior, & they are more peaceful for it.
Blessed are the peacemakers....

But, I suppose if they weren't here most of us wouldn't have anything to do, would we?
I'm all for banning someone if they are obviously only on the site to stir up disagreements... and I haven't read every post in this thread, but what I've read so far sounds to be just disagreement about spiritual gifts. That is certainly not a salvation issue...
The BDF has never been about "toeing the party line".... it is known for rather, um.... vigorous discussions. Which, up to a point is a healthy thing....

Well, we'd have peaceful, loving debates which are always preferable! :)

Amen
It is the same Jesus and Holy Spirit that was empowering the church 2k yrs ago.

Hard to believe there are those hoping to have less power , intimacy and anointing.
SMH
Flat out bizarre.
And so say the Mormons.

If they are posting or debating "concept vs concept", it will usually invoke lively debate.
If it deteriorates into personal attacks, or out and out blatant heresy, mods can step in and scold them, or lock the thread, or ban somebody.

It's different if they are seeking answers or guidance, vs teaching garbage with authority.
The poster he's talking about would at times single other forum members or certain denominations out for ridicule or declare statements that don't reflect what the Bible clearly states. That's why @Edify is wondering if you've tracked his previous posts since you don't seem to know that.

Peace?

Jesus did not come to bring peace.

Matthew 10:34
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Sorry Blain but Paul himself said not to emulate him or any other person. He said to be like Christ. The mind of Christ meaning to follow or be like. As far as that goes, in regards to Christ, He was not without emotion either. Don't fall for the meaningless blather
True good point he did say that

Jesus came with a mission to fulfill but even he said a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand, we are to have unityin Christ the enemy knows the art of war very well confuse divide and conquer

Peace?

Jesus did not come to bring peace.

Matthew 10:34
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. Col. 1:20

For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, Eph.2:14

Keep things in context and you know, the why, where and when you are so enamored of.

For some He does not even offer one although teacher seems to be quite popular among the cessationists
I have no idea what your sentence is attempting say.

Do you believe that God has never revoked a gift?

This is what Dino is implying with Romans 11:29.

Many people use this verse as a blanket statement to cover any certain event or principle they wish to continue, regardless of the absurdity that such reasoning leads to.
