do you believe this person is a believer?
I really doubt anyone "knowingly" believes false doctrine, however, they will live in a state of cognitive dissonance without realizing it.

People who lie to themselves typically believe their own lies so they are not knowingly believing a false doctrine.

"Believe upon the correct doctrine and you shall be saved."

I haven't found that verse anywhere.
If someone knowingly chooses to believe false doctrine, do you believe this person is a believer in false doctrine or a believer in Jesus?

Al correct doctrine is correct. Which specific doctrine do you wish to talk about?
Your are funny, in a good way.

I should have asked what is the false doctrine, maybe you have a particular one in mind?

I would say the first and foremost false doctrine is we can save ourselves through our works.

No I believe this is someone who does not know what the scripture says and cannot stand on scripture thus are falling for lies that are told by usually someone who has a place of authority.
Those who knowing choose to believe false doctrine do go to hell.

Believing is being convinced of something more than one doubts it, believing greater than 50%, and therefore believing it sufficiently to act commensurately with that conviction.
Knowing is being 100% certain of something, believing it without doubting, believing it 100%, and therefore acting commensurately with that conviction.
Lying is being unconvinced of something but claiming to believe it to be true.

The idea of knowingly choosing to believe a lie seems to me, therefore, to be a logically impossibility.
One could knowingly choose to profess to believe a lie.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. (Mark 7:7-9)

People choose to believe lies of false doctrine all the time. Billions of people go to hell for believing heresy.
