I am right again. No one on Christian Chat truly believes God specifically shows his love for unrepentant sinners who are in hell.
Your idea of God being a loving and compassionate God is incongruent with the idea that hell is a place of eternal torture. Are you believing that at some point in the future (ie the end of the 7th millenium) they will be released and examined as guilty or innocent?

Those who are judged worthy of eternal hell-fire will never be release once they experience it.

Since the judgment also takes place after Christ comes we can see how impossible it would be for anyone to be punished before that time. Justice demands that a person be brought into judgment before being punished.

2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.

Jesus said that both good and bad will come forth from their graves to receive either life or damnation. This proves that from the time of death until they come forth in the resurrection they are not receiving any recompense or punishment. It all happens after they come forth. They are reserved until that day just as Peter indicated, but Christ spelled out where they will be reserved-"in the graves."

Joh 5:28-29
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Luk 14:14
And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
And Matthew 16:27, For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

When is "then"? When He comes with His angels. No reward or recompense is handed out until the resurrection of the just, when He comes with all the angels. These verses are beyond controversy. Taken in their context, they contain no ambiguity or hidden meaning.

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

If u r interested at all , c how many times Jesus uses the word perish , the context that he uses it and , what that word translates as . Food for thought I think .

John 3 verse 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

2nd Thess Ch 1 V 7-9 ❤️ .
2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Can we say those alive on planet earth right now who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, are already experiencing hell? Forever trying to fill the void that is reserved only for God to indwell?

Job 21:30
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

With all the verses from Christ, Peter, Job, and Daniel, it is clear that the evil are in the grave until the resurrection and they are punished then.

Not at death. That is not just.

This thread question is for those who actually claim to believe God loves unrepentant sinners who are in hell.
This is the crux of the calvies problem. God is Love. Nothing can change that. God is Just/Righteous. Nothing can change that. God is Holy. Nothing can change that. God is Sovereign. Nothing can change that.

His love cannot "trump" His Justice. His Sovereignty cannot "trump" His Justice.

All of His divine attributes work in unison at ALL times. He cannot impugn one of His attributes for another.

He cannot "elect" whosoever to salvation through His Sovereignty.......It impugns His Righteousness/Justice(Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved....)

He Cannot "elect" whosoever to salvation through His Love.....It impugns His Righteousness/Justice. Acts 16:31

“and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us:

and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gods love towards mankind has never been the missing part . It is mankind’s love towards God that is the failure and fault that n man’s relationship with him

God loves mankind as a whole and so you have to have judgement then and accountability .

what I mean is God loves us all and so if I choose to harm or even kill another person , God loving both of us but this doesn’t change what I’ve done and the fact that I’ve taken someones life or I’ve injured them

God is also just . justice requires judgement and accountability so that the man who kills the other also loses what he’s taken being his life. If mankind is to live freely we have to live within decent moral laws not stealing and killing and attacking and insulting and provoking and deceiving and cheating one another , or the ones God loves are being mistreated by the other ones God loves

God not loving someone isn’t why they end up in hell . He loved them and gave his life for them but the problem is they wouldn’t repent and listen to his word telling them the truth about thier salvation. They didn’t return the love Jesus showed to all sinners on the cross.

The key to what’s missing in the relationship between man and God is found here

first is this God shows all creation his love towards them

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

then this shows us the element we need to apply ourselves to that’s what’s actually missing in most of us

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:

and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

…Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:21, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He loves us all but it’s those who love God in response to what he’s done for us that’s going to determine our final outcome anyone can be saved because God loved us …..now do we love Jesus Christ in return who died for us and rose again ?

note it’s those who love God that all things work together for their good

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭

Not “ only those few who God loves “ but those who love God in return for the love he’s shown us all on the cross.

New age grace doctrine teaches us not to think we have a role and responsability we’re not expected to do anything “ don’t need to hear his word and do ey and keep it ect your just saved if he loves you and chose you but your damned if he doesn’t and didn’t “

That’s not true though Jesus died for everyone’s sins that proves his love for them before they are in hell . Thier existsnce in hell proves they didn’t love him in return and in the end tbeyll realize they were free to choose the good and the things he said would save them but they didn’t .

he loved them before they chose to love the devil and his Will before they chose thier “fathers” will

the cross is proof God loves sinners whether they repent or not doesn’t really correlate to whether he loves them , but to whether tbey love him in return for what he’s done

Gods love towards a man doesn’t remove his role in tbe relationship our role of returning that love to God by loving others uprightly in actions as well as speech, which is what he commands in the gospel summarized.

Of course God doesn't love the people in hell, why would anyone say something so dumb?

Those people are in hell already.

God DID love them, past tense, by sending His son to die for their sins. But they spit at God's face and now pay the price for it. Too late for love

God is Love. how can he stop loving?

If you were a Judge and had to sentence your child to life in prison........Would you stop loving them?

Because you had to deal with Justice, doesn't make you unloving.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The second death does not happen until after the second resurrection.

These people die the second death in the fire, but they cannot suffer a second death until they get a second life. They lived the first life in this world and died the first death, going into the grave. Before they can die a second death they must be resurrected -they must be given a second life. This, of course, is what happens at the end of the world. Jesus said, "All that are in the graves shall come forth."

How is eternal life in fire and pain justice and loving when your crime is one lifetime, of sin. ??
If that were true wouldnt have God already annilated the devil and his minions? not set a place of chains in hell for them? The soul i think is eternal. And if not in hell where would you have them then? There was no peace in heaven while lusifer was their.

Good question. Is God TRULY Holy? What is our definition of Holy?

Yes, God is truly HOLY. We may say," Ah, it's a little sin!" But to TRUE holiness...........it turns the whole universe black.

We don't have the words to describe how sin affects true Holiness.

And don't forget, God affords us a way out. Every second of every day Christ is on display for each and everyone of us.......We will be without excuse.
