wait, are you saying the dolls are going to cost us more?

Trump is simply saying the US will have to tighten its belt, since China is mocking the US as being fat and obese, it won't hurt us to tighten our belts.

I for one am ready to do my part and if that means I cannot afford to buy 30 dolls, so be it.

Is it really not about the dolls, nah... of course the other details are left out, how about the workers who stock the shelves, truckers who move the dolls?

Would he been elected on the platform austerity, not likely.

I just think a leader should be honest, if we can't have that anymore at least the electorate to be honest about this policy, but seems like the real "snowflakes" are the neo-cons.. the lie to me more crowd.

Everyone on this blog realizes that we must tighten our belts. You claim we need to be honest, we all know that and yes, our leaders have told us this.

I would agree that tariffs are initially inflationary but will then lead to a deflationary cycle and slow growth.

Trump ran on a populist platform saying we had to pay off our debt, bring manufacturing back to the US, and "Make America great again" referring to the fact that at one time we led the world in manufacturing and since that point all our factories have left.
