1 Corinthians 15:1-4
King James Version
15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
I can read these words in two different ways at least which is causing me to not be able to trust that I know what Paul meant. Would anyone be able to help me out by explaining the meaning of these words? Is Paul speaking in jargon or is it the plain meaning so to say (these can be tricky words to read, for me at least)?
The context of Chapter 15 is
there were those that did not believe inn the resurrection of Jesus
read the rest in context to hear Paul say it clear
If Christ is not risen, then we are still in our sins, they are not taken away, if not risen
I know I have sinned and sinned again, some may have left and some still do their best to get me in strife and say things Like see, you just sinned again you are not forgiven! or you would never sin again and you just did it again, Talk about getting stressed out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I fell into that once and oh boy, I wanted to never sin again and still do not want to sin ever again
I suspect this is you too right now.
If so, see in thanksgiving and praise what God has done by Son for you, what God predicted would get done once for everyone stated in Hebrews 10, especially verse 10 forward, best to read the entire epistle for me at least to keep in stride of what is written trusting Daddy to reveal what is needed for me to rest in his Love and mercy of Son given everyone to stand in therefore we have from God in 2 Cor 12:7-10 God's Grace is sufficient
New life is not installed in the death, the death was for reconciliation first, then new life is norw offered in the risen Son for us all to be gotten given to us from Daddy, PaPA, Father, to me at least and many others that already see it are at rest in it thankfully. Does it mean, you will never ever sin again?
So, what to do with that, God's grace is sufficient. Do I respond with, I can do whatever I want and take whatever I want, having no consequences over it, since God has forgiven me?
That, is what the Corinthians did and Paul is addressing here in Chapter 15 it is Jesus is risen, you are forgiven, even if you sin again as they did, harming others in the process, just grabbing whatever they wanted in their first born flesh nature, not born new as were seen from God's view to become new, that God will install once anyone e gets this truth, and sees to not take it for granted or do it by their own works.
They repented 2 Corinthians 7
Paul, throughout all his epistles sought to correct all the mistakes flesh nature (First birth) makes to be made new by God for each person that chooses God to lead them will get led once willing, not before that ever at least in my walk here on earth I see that now after being religious, trying to get God to respond to me by what I did do or not do, as if I am a better than others person (Luke 18:9-14) Thank you Father for the forgiveness in Son for us all
Matthew 18:24-35 is now my response, Thankful and merciful to all since God is merciful to me first, even though I have adversities too
