She began typing, "Where is the best place or area to rent an apartment?" Answers popped up instantly, and she became confused.

Next, she typed, "As much as I need money, should I follow my heart or struggle through what I think God might be telling me?" Again, answers poured in, with AI offering suggestions too, alongside the search engine.

Finally, she typed, "There's this guy I really admire—like, strongly admire. Do you think it's just me, or, as a Christian, could there be more to it, you know, that it might just be God?"

At this point, the Holy Spirit sighed...

Dear You,
When was the last time you went to God for clarity for those situations you just couldn’t understand?
When last did you seek His counsel before making that decision?
When life gets tangled, is God still your go-to or have Opera Mini, Chrome, Firefox, ChatGPT, and the rest taken His place?

How did we get here? To the point where the internet has become our ‘Holy Spirit?'

I’m not against going to the internet or using AI tools for help. I’ve benefited from both, and I’m still benefiting. The real issue is where to draw the line. Too often, we make these tools our first go-to because we don’t want to go through “the stress”—in quotes—of praying.
When did prayer become a burden? With all the challenges of life, talking to God has become a burden?

When prayer becomes a burden, it means that something has definitely gone very wrong. Run back to God if this describes your state, let Him help you and sort things out in your life.

Are you a Christian? Then let God be your first point of call. Let Him guide and counsel you. Let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path at all times.

The internet cannot and will never do; it can never replace the wisdom of God in a person’s life.

It’s time to pause.
To return.
To seek Him first.

Psalms 107:7 - And he led them forth by the right way...
Psalms 32:8 - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

God bless you.

Very nice thread.

I must admit, when I'm busy, and things are running smooth, I get my priorities mixed up. When I'm having problems, I get my priorities straight. Am I the only one, or this common?!? lol Maybe it's just part of the process, did learn to trust more and more.

"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." Psalm 23:2
" And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me." Psalm 50:15

Thanks 🙂
Problems and troubles many times bring us back to God or draw us closer to Him. It's not the ideal way it should be though; in the good, bad, trouble packed or trouble free time, we should be near to God.

But sometimes we leave God with no choice right? Sometimes He allows those troubles come your way to get your attention. One beautiful evidence of His love for us ❤️ It's hard sometimes when that happens though 🙂 but in the end it's all for the best.

Definitely not the only one!

I just read a short biography of Madame Guyon, and one thing she said really stuck out to me and I keep thinking about it. can't remember the exact quote, but it was something to the effect of how we can go thru life enjoying the gifts God gives rather than enjoying Him for who He is. I might be a little off the OP topic but it reminded me of it thinking of how you said your priorities get mixed up when things are running smoothly.

Nothing like a major crisis, to get you back on track.

Thanks for kind words.
