Ananda,
Lev 11:22
Of them you may eat: the locust of any kind, the bald locust of any kind, the cricket of any kind, and the grasshopper of any kind.
The Baptist, was a nazzerite. Compeltely followed the STRICTEST of dietary LAW. it was PRE Cross, so it was OT...so, yes John the baptist ATE locust. It was allowed. Some, i have read, say that John ate the fruit of the LOCUST tree(which they called locust) and that John was a strict vegetarian...i doubt that though, and dissagree.
So that was just some info, i thought you would find it interesting, and it wasnt really to argue.
Now about the LAW.
Noah in chapter 8 of Genesis Sacrificed Clean and unclean animals. that were on the ARC. Noah had allready been told what was clean and unclean...this was before mosaic law.
Gen 8:20
Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it
HOWEVER, later, in chapter 9
Genesis 9:2-3
The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
EVERYTHING that moves was NOW food. GOD made ALL thigns clean, why? because mans heart was clean, so nothing condemned him. NOAH was a picture of Righteousness IN Christ.
JESUS ended the LAW.
We are back to the righteousness of noah IF indeed we have entered the arc.
SO can One eat a pig? YES ALL is food for us, if taken in thanksgiving.
You can eat a Monkey if you REALLY want to...though i wouldnt advise it. (poor monkey...)
I dont think the LIFE blood thing is nulled though. Thats somthing God was ALWAYS was against. We are to drink JESUS blood(one of the many reaons why CHRIST is a stumbling block to the JEWS) but i still don't know if having life blood (raw meat) is somthing God would bless... Anyone have any veiws on that?
Life Blood, is that still something we should abstain from? i prefer my meat well done anyway, but thoughts?
