My opinion is that this situation is analogous to December 2021 When Russia was massed on the border of Ukraine.
Either China is preparing to invade Taiwan (I don't think so) or they are faking an attack on Taiwan and are going to hit the US with a surprise attack (that is what I think is the most likely).
I think it will be another Pearl Harbor, only this time it will be 10x worse, maybe even 100x worse.

It is stunning how stupid some of these talking heads on MSNBC are. The deadline for Iran to negotiate with the US ends today. Trump said that it would be resolved in one of two ways, the easy way or the hard way. Iran has rejected the negotiations so they have chosen what Trump said would be "the hard way". Yesterday, the day before the deadline, Trump ordered the evacuation of the embassy in Baghdad and any State department officials that could leave the Middle East. Seems pretty obvious what is going on.
But on MSNBC they are saying they don't know why he is doing this? Abundance of caution maybe? Do you have any idea how much trouble it is to evacuate an embassy? How stupid are these people?

One thing I would point out, the US is the land of unwalled cities, homes without bars and gates. It is a soft target for terrorists, which is what Iran is all about. I would expect the sleeper cells will be activated and the US will see terrorist attacks in the US.
I like this review because it shows that anyone who had eyes to see would have seen all of this moving towards this war.

I don't understand how foolish some of these people are saying that Iran's underground bunkers are too deep to be hit with bunker buster bombs. Regardless of how deep it is you need an entrance and you need air shafts. If Israel hits those with bunker buster bombs that turn to rubble the top 500 feet how do you get in and out? if you are already inside how do you breath? Also the entire plant needs electricity. If you are using diesel operated pumps from deep within then being sealed off means you will run out of diesel and if the air vents are blocked you will gas yourselves with fumes from the engine. If the power plant is not in the depths of the bunker then it also can be hit. If you don't have power you don't have light, you don't have air and you don't have elevators. The power plant would be fed by oil trucks, you can't hide them and it would be incredibly inconvenient for these to be half a mile underground. But, suppose they are. Suppose the entrance is ten miles away and the trucks drive down a gentle incline for ten miles until they are half a mile underground. Fine, blow up the entrance and the whole thing shuts down. I would point out that the newest bunker buster bombs are nuclear. They penetrate the ground and then explode. Anyone trusting that Israel can't destroy these underground bunkers is kidding themselves.

They never cared, "it was for the good of the country". So now they learn that if you decide to go to war you will be the first one killed. Let's see if they still want to go to war "for the good of the country" if it means they are the first to die. Also, when you kill a general someone has to take their place. Suppose Israel has a relatively high placed mole, by selectively killing off generals they can get their mole promoted. Before Iran might have spent significant resources to vet people, but in the midst of war you have no time.
So then this causes confusion at the most confusing time, it can cause the leaders to reconsider and perhaps even become spies, and of course it helps the spies get promoted.

The other advantages are that those who are not killed need to go into hiding. So either you leave your orders with people ahead of time anticipating you will be killed which makes it easier for a spy to leak them and for your enemy to know them. Or else you don't. When the general is killed everyone below him needs to get promoted. Colonel, Major, Lieutenant, Captain, etc. So if ten senior staff are killed you are forced to promote 40 or fifty people and get them all up to speed in the middle of a war while you are "in hiding". Must be incredibly disruptive.
