The thing that saddens me the most about all of this Trump and Israel worship, is just how accessible the truth is about Trump and his Chosen People.

the bible talks about a gathering of armies against jerusalem that you can see and you must flee, on foot, pray its not during the sabbath or winter.
we live in a world of cars and ballistic missiles and everytime israel is getting hit by missiles we are hearing "its close, its close, its happening, the great tribulation you guys!" do you really expect us to believe that you can escape a ballistic missile giga nuclear attack on foot?

the downside of being a historicist is that we have the burden of proof of showing something took place, as a futurist you have no burden of proof because everything can just be postponed into the future and speculated upon endlessly.

Interesting, yes I do believe God already exacted His vengeance for the rejection of His Son in the first century, I think we are called to reveal where there is deception and evil for sure.

He is probably right, if he is broke it would be pointless to sue him. I don't know what the law is about this forum allowing slanderous posts that are knowingly slander to remain up. But it is a good thing we are bringing this to your attention now.

Interesting, most forums don't like individuals having multiple accounts. I find this most troubling because it means we are unable to see what he has posted previously and we don't know why he left. Was he blocked? I am hoping that the forum has a policy on this.
I also see that most of what passes for the "christian church" these days, is nothing more than a zionist country club. The Prince of Peace is now the God of War, and christians cheer on the murder of millions with glee. Yeah, I see it, and its sick.

what label would you put on yourself? eschatology is such a mess. but luckily we have certain bookends like 'this generation' that lets us know the timing of the events. some other ones are a bit more vague like "soon", who knows what is God's soon?
my view is that the events of revelation started to take place in the 1st century and will continue on until the last day resurrection and judgment.
I will say I am somewhere between historicist (I do see lots there worthy of examination) and mostly fulfilled.
The problem with historicist approach one still has to match the events as they unfold which can then lead to the same follies as futurism.
However, I think the partially / fulfilled starts with the words of Christ Jesus and that is the foundation.
For soon and shortly it always come down to what it meant first to the primary audience.
thats true about matching the specific events. i think the best fit for the man of sin for example is the pope. because the reason st.paul talked about the restrainer in such cryptic way is because it was the roman emperors and roman power that was to fall, after which 'christian rome' and with that the pope came to power.
