and there is not a single person in favor of predestination who denies humans have a will and make choices.

the situation is this:
- original sin
- sin nature
- we choose what we want to choose, freely.

just like a kid will always choose ice cream over broccoli, humans will always choose something over the one true God, unless God intervenes in His grace.
Exactly! How many ways can it be said that the will of the natural man is bent away from God? Humanity's history in the Biblical narratives evidences it right from the opening chapters with Adam and Eve.

Ah! My comment above answers yours too and i have said similar earlier today. It's just silly to say we choose freely when we are so fallen and live in an evil system which harms and corrupts us much further.

Free will is currently an impossibility for us and a lie this evil system promotes, thankfully the LORD knows the perfect time to bring it to an end.

So sorry Melach, i read that comment wrong. I have said so many times in this post we have both choice and will, it's free will i don't think we have which i have explained many times in other comments. Including today.

I think we can exercise free will and that I am not forced to post this reply--but I am.
This is what i mean about people not understanding choice and will are separate abilities, neither of which are free. Both are often driven by sinister motives because we are so fallen, however, that doesn't mean we're absolutely incapable of either occasionally.
Do you lot have any genuine spiritual interest? You seem much more interested in causing division and argument rather than truth and knowledge. A.K.A as trolling.

The fact that Freewill exist, means it can be used. The problem which arises is; how to use It correctly. Each One of US can use free will. However; using It wisely is another matter!

Choice and will are/are not separate. Either way you are forced.
I am pointing out the illogic of the view that makes life/discussion a farce.

Ah, didn't make it clear in that comment i believe free will exists but we don't have it currently, because of our fallen state and the wicked system we live in.

I have explained that many times in comments throughout this post, however the trolls, disrupt the comments to prevent logical, joined up discussion.

Also think they feel threatened by a woman who's clearly very intelligent, quite amusing it seems i make them feel like that on my ownsome.

Farcical that someone like you who does troll, accuses others of being illogical. The need to troll is usually a desperate attempt at controlling the behaviour of others through disruption. Which is definitely what you and your buddies have done on my post.

Even more sad is so many of you can't succeed against me on my own, you seem driven by petty emotions and desires, not logic/reason and seeking knowledge. Don't think you'd recognise genuine free will if it bit your posterior.

Scripture says the natural man, indeed the whole world (which does not include believers who have been called out of the world) is under the power and influence of the devil, and some are explicitly said to have been taken captive to the will of the devil. How anyone interprets that as freedom I simply cannot fathom. Praise the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever... and for freedom He has set us free.

Free Will > Choice > & Choice gives every person the option to do what is Right or to dowhat is Wrong....!

This is where judgment day factors in! Since people have choice and choice allows people to do what is Right or what is Wrong those choices that one chooses to act upon while they are on earth will be those choices that God will use to judge that person before send that person to either Heaven / Hell...!

Essentially, the choices one makes on earth will be those same choices that God will use against that person to determine one's fate in Heaven or Hell...!
Right is right, wrong is wrong, as there will be not excuse for anyone, since all are born with the knowledge to know right and wrong. Time to respond and hope our righteousness that one, anyone does is better than the Pharisees Matthew 5:20
Thanks

Good day Melach! Always a pleasure to see you... and yes, the number of verses that routinely get ignored,
contradicted, and outright denied by the free will crowd is staggering. Perplexing for sure that they think
being able to choose what to have for lunch or what colour of socks to wear has any bearing whatsoever
on the natural man being able to choose to believe that which he can neither receive nor comprehend
while a slave to sin, refusing to come into the light as a lover of darkness, hostile in his mind towards God,
suppressing truth in unrighteousness. You know, it reminds me of a completely different panel I designed
once, one that has a slew of verses on it, and someone told me it was totally unBiblical. LOL. Inconceivable!

"Free will" in the Bible? ~ Freedom is something believers are called to (Galatians 5 verse 13). We need Jesus to “set us free” (Galatians 5 verse 1). If Jesus has not freed us from the bondage of sin, then we are still slaves to sin (Romans 6 verses 6-7). Freedom is found in the presence of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3 verse 17). Only Jesus can give us true freedom (John 8 verse 36). Only through His lovingkindness can we truly make choices unfettered by a nature that is inherently hostile toward God.

Cheers for being so understanding, only just returned today after a break but the trolls still can't bear joined up discussion on MY post. Think they should create a thread of their own for such stupidity and malice.

That sort of comment is pulses and veggies to me, (I'm vegetarian but don't think meat eating is wrong, it's factory farming i have a problem with) however, i do think we can make good choices, it's enacting them that is the problem because we're so fallen.

Also think it probable babies are guaranteed to sin because of the fall? That they become more damaged and corrupted as they develop? And yes, i too think our thoughts might have some agency with God but it's impossible for us to enable the momentum to save us, that only develops and can be sustained, through his mercy and grace. Example being i love the great outdoors and have seen so much beauty and wonder which made me think there must be a God, however, i didn't do anything about it until late last March. Amazingly, i just stopped being a chain smoker and a binge drinker, without any problems, it was strange, in a good way.

Haven't said anywhere near what i'd like to or my comment would be essay length, i do like exchanging thoughts with you Pilgrimshope.
I don’t mind length personally do feel free to elaborate when we discuss , and yes good spirited discussion about the word we all seem to be pursuing to some extent believing it’s true ….is always a good thing arguing and bickering not so much but I seem to enjoy discussing with you also even at points we may not totally agree on. Civility goes a long way

“i do think we can make good choices, it's enacting them that is the problem because we're so fallen.”

Do you think babies are born already corrupted and fallen and separated from God ? Or do you think people become sinful and seperated from relationship with God because of the sins they commit ?

“Also think it probable babies are guaranteed to sin because of the fall? “

Yeah we disagree a bit here. For instance cain did evil and was rejected but abel did good works and was accepted and pleased god. Enoch walked with God and never died , Noah is called perfect and righteous , job is called perfect and righteous Noah and Daniel and job it is said their own righteousness could deliver tbier souls.

The point being there are many people in scripture who chose and followed the good .

the thing is with the gospel the doctrine is for sinners who want to repent for people Jesus knows already isn’t perfect . So the idea that we aren’t already perfect doesn’t really contradict anything I’ve never said we’re sinless either I’ve been saying we’re in a position between good and evil and both are tugging at our soul we have to choose which to yield our selves to

This is where the freedom is in the choice

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; ( that’s how we lose our free Will we yield it to good or evil )

whether of sin unto death,

or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. ( we can do that ) Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our free Will needs to yield our Will to obedience of Gods Will rather than to sin which leads to death .

We can offer our lives to serving sin or God. That’s what my opinion is the freedom of our Will and our choice is made there

“ will I yield my life to Christ jesus who suffered and died to save my soul ? “

Or will i continue on living for myself and my own sinful lusts and desires by my own Will as they are

Righteousness Of Christ ~ “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” You were dead in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience. The Son gives life to whom He is pleased to give it. If Christ is in you, your spirit is alive because of righteousness. We put on the righteousness of Christ.
