Not exactly sure which you are speaking of but Paul made a reference pretty much like that.
We are indeed living in the time they had hoped for, our Creator knew each of us would be here at this time, there is much we have a responsibility to carry out.

Isaiah talked about Jesus being crucified. John the Baptist called Jesus the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world comparing him to the sin offerings, the peace offerings and the Passover lamb.

Is this all relevant to the New Testament or was that done away with too?
