A gift of teaching that Jesus used by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus spoke parables, was it from the Holy Spirit? I think it was. I have been given that gift from God, and you really can feel it flow thru you when using it.

So seems like I have been given gifts for teaching. And how ironic to me, I rebelled against all my teachers. What do I do with it? Teaching seems right, but whom? Or maybe Jesus has a different intention for it?

I believe Jesus had all Wisdom and all knowledge. But I know that the works he was doing was by the Holy Spirit, as this was he's calling from God to do. It was the same with the 12 apostles in the book of acts. They too used the same gifts of teaching. Maybe I am just supposed to go out and find people, like the book of acts?

Teaching may be your gift or it may be edifying others, the gift of teaching is not an easy path and teachers more than anyone else are often held accountable for what they teach you have to be lead by the spirit and you have to have a sound understanding of doctrine

You also muct be mature in faith as well and be able to form words together that are to lead others in the right direction to go it often requires the ability to reach others with your words. anyone can teach but a true teacher is able to reach the hearts of others

Now edifying is different it is not teaching persay but often can be attributed to teaching but on the other hand edifying others means to encourage strengthen and uphold others and this unlike teaching is something we all can do. anyone can teach but not all can be teachers and it comes with a heavy burden of leadership as well.

Joh_14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Jesus didn't need gifts of the Holy Spirit. He is God.. He has always been God. He even sent the Holy Spirit, with the Father doing it also!

When Jesus spoke in parables.. it was God speaking. It was from the Holy Spirit also.. but in the Triune .. one God sense. Not like a regular person who is indwelled and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Aside from that, look at the great commission from Jesus to His disciples.. that's the way of the christian. Go, make disciples of all nations.. baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I would argue that one would need to know their actual gifting before trying to teach because one may be called to teach but not in the general sense rather to guide others in the way we ought to go which coincides with edifying others

How would one even know they have the gift of teaching I wonder? well lets look at the aspects of the gift. Are you good at researching and explaining complex topics?
Are you good at reaching others and peaking their interest with your words?
Are you willing to lead others and surrender yourself your whole self to the dedication of learning from others as well as teaching?

Are you humble enough to admit that you may be wrong in some areas and not hide the fact but rather show it as to not hide behind a facade of perfection?

These to me are things worth considering
