What I find interesting is that it is a parable talking about the kingdom of heaven. Makes me think this could be talking about an event after the millenium. Any thoughts on that?

Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

This could fit perfectly at the end of the millenium. I googled it and some other people also believe this to be after the millenium, so let me know if you got any proofs against or for it.

It says it happens at the end of this age, so that says to me he was speaking about the end of the age that ends at his return

"An enemy has done this!", That's what the text says
Hi
You've read it like we have
Everything works out in the end
Breakfast here ain't gonna cook itself
People will be microwaving burritos right to the end
Pray for 'em

There are several other parables about Judgment Day. The Sheep and the Goats (Matt. 25) is the closest parallel.

Yes, the time of the Millenium is an age of itself for a thousand years.

PARABLE WHEAT AND THE TARES

Prophet Joel said: Great and Terrible Day of the Lord. Joel 2

Apostle Peter said: Great and Glorius Day of the Lord. Acts 2

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rev14:14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.

Daniel 7:13 “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven.

Rev 14:15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

Rev 14:17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.

Thanks for the trust Blain! All im doing is praying and reading, I know you are doing the same! Pray about it.

The reason I think this is talking about the end after the millennium is that it mentions the kingdom, and this world if you look around right now, is under the evil one. Not to mention this explains why Paul said we are caught up in the air FIRST and then the wicked receive the conflagration. In the parable of Jesus the righteous remain on the earth and the wicked are rooted out.

Thats another reason. Tell me what you think brother.

Thanks brother. Who populates the millennium if this is at Jesus' return?=
========================================================================================
Those that populates the Millenium come from the sheep/goat judgement.

Resurrection/rapture happens at Rev 14 during the reaping of the earth. Saved by Grace thru faith ends here.

Sheep and Goats are all unrighteous

Those left behind enter the winepress of God's wrath, the Vial or Bowl judgment. Sheep and Goats are all gentiles. Word nations denotes gentiles. Sheep are only saved not by grace but works for assisting those fleeing the antichrist ( works ).

Zech 14:16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. ( sheep )

The Parable of the Weeds (Matt. 13:24-30)

In this parable a man sowed wheat seeds in his field, but his enemy came while folks were sleeping and sowed weeds among the wheat. When it became apparent that the field was contaminated, the owner’s servants asked whether they should pull up the weeds, and he told them to wait until the harvest, at which time the weeds should be burned and the wheat gathered into his barn.

Later in the privacy of a house Jesus explained the meaning of this parable, saying that the good seed was sown by the Son of Man, the field is the world, the good seed stands for those who belong to the kingdom, the weeds are those who belong to the evil one, the enemy who sowed the bad seed is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. At the end of the age the Son of Man will send angels to weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and everyone who does evil and throw them into the blazing furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, while the righteous will shine in the kingdom of their Father. Jesus concluded by saying, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

The mention of Judgment and the opposite destinies of happiness or hell indicates that Jesus employed parables as a means of pre-sifting souls by showing who would understand/believe or not. Some people opine that God/Jesus causes people to believe–or not, but notice that in Matt. 13:10-15 Jesus did NOT say that he prevents people from becoming his disciples or that he causes people’s hearts to be calloused, so let us be careful not to pre-sift ourselves by projecting our own hatred onto the all-loving Christ. The omnilove of Jesus is indicated by such Scriptures as Matt. 23:37, in which Jesus lamented over Jerusalem’s lack of repentance or rejection of his preaching (cf. Matt. 22:39, John 3:16, Rom. 5:6-8, 1Tim. 2:3-4). Note that Jesus explained the Parable of the Seeds in plain language and that the Parable of the Tenants passage indicated his enemies understood he was being critical of them.

I see no reference to a millennium.

Zech 14:16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. ( sheep )

I agree that the reference to the sheep and goats is eschatological akin to the parable about the weeds.
We might also consider the Parable of the Bags of Gold (Matt. 25:14-30):

A rich man going on a journey called three servants and entrusted them with different amounts of gold. One servant received five bags of gold, which he invested and made five bags more. Another servant received two bags and he made an additional two bags. The third servant received one bag, which he hid in a hole he dug in the ground. After awhile the servants’ master returned and ordered an accounting. The first servant brought him the ten bags of gold, whereupon the master said, “Well done, good and faithful servant… Come and share your master’s happiness. The second servant brought the four bags of gold and likewise was commended. Then the third servant brought the one bag of gold, saying, “…here is what belongs to you”, and his master replied, “You wicked, lazy servant!… Take that bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags… And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The remainder of Matthew 25 is a sort of semi-parable about sheep and goats, because it lacks the typical introduction saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like…”. In conclusion, it should be evident that Jesus taught using various literary techniques including parables, metaphors and irony, which means stating a truth in a way different from what might be expected, akin to paradox. For example, in Matt. 11:16-19 Jesus quoted a jingle: “We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.” Both of these lines employ irony. Then Jesus said: “For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard…'” Again, irony is employed to teach the point that “Wisdom is proved right by her actions.” Thus, truth is conveyed using figurative language as well as literally.

Sheep and Goats are all unrighteous
Matthew 25:
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Matthew 25:

They became righteous not because of grace thru faith but because of works

Never divorce saving faith from good works, because there is no qualitative difference between faith that accepts God’s saving grace
at conversion and faith that accepts God’s working grace or motivates good works while walking/living (Eph. 2:8-10, 2Cor. 5:7), but only a quantitative difference as each additional moment passes–and of course faith remains non-meritorious during the saint’s entire lifetime (Rom. 1:17). IOW, the ability to do good works as well as have saving faith are both due to God’s grace.

Well, he plainly says the bad are those who cause stubling and commit iniquity, which to be literally interpreted; are those who cause people to stray and fall from the truth, and continue to transgress against the Holy Spirits commandments.
These encompass people like esoterics, preachers who cause divisions and hide the truth about repenting from sin, those who take being christian as a title but love the worlds riches and voilence more than God, and those who altogether deny the Holy Spirit and refuse to commit to anything righteous.

1 Corinthians 6:9—
Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.

Revelation 22:12—
“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who do his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

I have considered amillennialism but I just don't think its convincing. If you follow satan's travel log in the book of Revelation its clear. The devil is active currently in the epistles, in Revelation 12 he is active and deceiving the whole earth and in Revelation 20 he is bound from deceiving those nations.

The chronology from Revelation 19 to Revelation 21 is clear.

In Revelation 19 Babylon has fallen, Jesus returns and throws the beast and the false prophet into the lake of fire
In Revelation 20 the devil is bound and the saints are resurrected and rule and reign for a thousand years, at the end of which satan is thrown into the lake of fire where the beast and the false prophet ARE which means they were there prior to the devil being there, proving chronology. At the end of Rev 20, we see the great white throne judgment and death and hell being thrown into the lake of fire. This is where Jesus' last enemy, which is death itself, is destroyed and thrown into the lake of fire.
In Revelation 21 we see the new heaven and the new earth being created. Eternity begins.

There are a lot of verses in the OT that talk about a state of life that has never happened, but also cannot be in eternity. Things like long life but not eternal life, things like fishing, planting vineyards, building things, ruling over the nations, biblical feasts being kept and the sun and moon being present are all things that require a millennium. In eternity there will be no more sun, no more night, no more death. Obviously the Christians who are resurrected will have eternal life in the milllenium, but the nations being ruled over will not.

I haven't. Everything is literal until it can't possibly be taken as literal. Then it's symbolic.
Very little of prophecy or johns apacolypse is literal here’s a bunch of examples of what I’m saying

“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes,

( the slain lamb is a representation of Jesus “ the sacrificial lamb “who was slain and rose up again and his eyes and horns represent the Holy Ghost went into the world the image is figurative not literal. It has deeper meaning than a bloody lamb , its testimony of Jesus and his death and resurrection that the lamb represents.

another example

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: and upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭17:3-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s no literal woman or beast with seven heads and ten horns ect it’s all figurative the seven heads and ten horns are seventeen kings or rulers and there’s another who comes up rhe 8th king that is one of the seven kings but ….there’s no literal beast with seven heads and ten horns

regarding the horns the figures for the ten kings . There’s an example of this with a time period

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of Lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭17:12-14, 16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

See these ten kings that are going to rise up and join together with the beast should we literally believe it’s for a span of a literal “hour “ in the midst of this very figurative vision he’s seeing ? of lambs with seven eyes and seven horns and giant beasts with seven heads and dragons and women riding this seven headed beast sitting on the “ many waters “ also a figure for the people and nations

Revelation is apacolypse it’s not a literal vision it’s not like an epistle where they are just talking and teaching it’s not even like a teaching parable really prophecy is operating from what’s known in the Bible “ Jesus is the lamb of god is in the Bible so John sees that image “ same with the time periods mentioned ( just a thought to consider however I respect that you don’t agree )

my position is like that” hour “ to me means a very short time period and not literally “ one hour” ….that the “thousand years “ represents a very extended period of time like peters saying here aboit the one thing we don’t want to be ignorant of

“knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:3-4, 8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

god isn’t on our version of time to you a year is a year a day a day a thousand years is a thousand years that’s not how gods timing works though . We might see a thousand years pass and it’s just been as a day to god .

and I don’t know why we would see how revelation is so figurative throughout yet insist to see something in it like “ the thousand years “ as figurative or not meaning actually a literal thousand years …. is far fetched seems at least in the ballpark and to have support but I digress
