All treaties are signed in pencil?![]()
Putin is a dictator. Zelensky is no better. Ukraine has been sent weapons, food and medical supplies. What does he need billions in cash for?Hello! Russia was the aggressor in this brutal war, Ukraine are in a situation they did not want and in which there are now no good choices. Of course Zelensky wants money, to fight this war and rebuild the country. He doesn't believe a word Putin says so for him what good would a peace treaty do.
Trump's peace talks IMHO now hinge on whether Putin is a reliable and honest person to make a treaty with. I would submit that Putin's actions and words over the last few years indicate that he is not. Putin also has alliances with some of the most evil and barbaric regimes on earth, like Iran and North Korea. He can be judged by the company he keeps. And his lip service to Christianity puts him in a special class of evil, according to the Lord Jesus. God Bless You![]()
Russian agreements are only valid for 1460 days or until the next leader is in power whichever occurs first. All warranties voided without proof of maintenance from approved mechanics.

Let’s not get carried away by black and white thinking. Putin is a dictator, or at least the front desk pretty face of the government. His counterpart is the president of the country of which Putin, the front desk manager, invaded.
So let’s get things straight. You, sir, are minding your own business in this random country and then there’s a neighboring country that decides to invade. What would you do? Means to an end or just follow the rules that applies in times of peace? I get the feeling that you don’t understand that there is a war going on in Ukraine. A war brought to them by a foreign aggressor. C’mon, would you go down like a Boy Scout if someone was invading your country?
I'll tell you a story Susanna.
Back in '61 Albania took a few submarines from Russians who wanted to have a presence in the Mediterranean region during the Cold War.
Vlora incident - Wikipedia
The Russian were going to invade but because they got a little busy with the Cuban Missle crisis, they sort of forgot about Albania.
And why wouldn't they? Albania is like the size of a small Russian city and they probably needed a magnifying glass to see it on the map.
So why am i saying this? I am saying this because all the leaders of small nations (Albania included) know that they can't stand up to world powers and the world powers have been doing proxy wars for ages with small nations.
Small nations owe their existence due to larger nations. For example Albania was going to be divided among world powers back when the Ottoman empire ended but it was thanks to Woodrow Wilson that Albania exists.
He basically sent the seal of approval and said 'APPROVED' and that's how the small nation of Albania exist.
So now when you factor-in Ukraine, which granted is larger in land mass than Albania but still tiny compared to Russia what chance do you think it has with Russia?
I mean really, they taught us about proxy wars in high school. So don't try to compare "what would someone in USA would do if say ... a Canadian invades."
I mean, what are the Canadians going to use for weapons? Maple syrup?
Your choice of Canada as the aggressor is sheer whataboutism. It’s like saying Massachusetts is a threat to Maine. Even though your military strategy thinking is lagging behind in the early 60s the present time has a few more ingredients to be added to the gumbo. When Ukraine falls, and yes, it will because we are too chicken to prevent it from happening, that will embolden some shady countries in east Asia. This will present a threat to all of our allies there. It’s going to make Pearl Harbor look like a bad hair day in comparison. Good thing you live in New England, because that will give you a chance to flee to Europe along with the rest of us when the East Asian military means have made the big ocean known as the Pacific look like a pond.
From what I understand Soviet Ukraine's nuclear arsenal came from the Russian Soviet to begin with; and they didn't have the economic strength to maintain their own nuclear program anyway. And even if they did, a majority of their politicians didn't want to have them. So, if by "framed" you mean they were tricked or something- I don't think that's the case.
At the time, the idea was, the fewer people that have them the better; which I think is still a valid mindset for the sake of the world.
Europe? You will a choice of Putin's dictatorship or a Muslim caliphate. You might want to cosy up to Elon Musk and head off to Mars.Your choice of Canada as the aggressor is sheer whataboutism. OK,so the thread title is TDS click bait.President Trump has done another U-Turn on Russia. He plans to give Ukraine to Russia in return for the same promises that Putin broke twice before. I find it hard to reconcile Mr Trump's attitude to Putin while he is an ardent supporter of Israel. The cynic in me says that there are no Ukrainian votes in America while the Jewish vote is significant. However, Mr Trump can't run for office again, so that also makes no sense.
This kind of appeasement is exactly what led to WW2. Far from being known as the champion of world peace, Mr Trump may just have set in motion the movement toward WW3. The only good news is that Ukraine is almost certain to reject the deal, as they should.
For all the good that Mr Trump has done, he is not infallible. He has proven susceptible to the undoubted charm and cleverness of Vladimir Putin. Only God can make America great again, as Psalm 146:3 tells us.

As I said. They recieve weapons, medical packages and food packages. And yet need billions in cash to survive? For what? Minding our own business is a great option. Meanwhile track Zelenski's bank accounts.Hello Dean, I'm guessing it would be difficult to maintain normal economic activity in Ukraine given that Russia has reduced it to rubble. Therefore they the Ukranians need the billions to physically survive, to fight a defensive war and maintain basic public services like Healthcare and heating for the elderly.
If Putin is rewarded for violence and aggression don't forget all his mates like China, Iran, North Korea and other Islamic fundamentalists waiting in the wings and watching.

I see you trying to reason with someone who knows nothing about America's policies in this matter. So we sent them F16s and other sophisticated weaponry and untrained Ukrainians are using these?
Good, so we agree on that. If there are any Americans in our military over in Ukraine helping them I take it you will agree they should be brought back to the US?
I don't really see anything here that we disagree on. I have not heard of anyone prohibiting Ukraine from buying weapons from the US. Nor do most people have an issue with the US shipping obsolete weapons that we would otherwise get rid of to Ukraine.

Someone who is Australian!
Their government is cracked. Yet,they assail America,Americans, and President Trump.
The OP title is a lie. It's click bait.
You know,we read threads and posts that insist Salvation is impermanent, and willful sin is a sign someone is not saved.
And then,we enter the current events forum and find those who example those things, which furthers the idea it's all true, boasting and gloating in that fallen behavior against God and the truth in the teachings of Jesus.

Susanna I’m surprised that after all these years you haven’t figured out that you’re fighting for egos of men and not for any ideals in an endless cycle where the people end up paying the price because the leaders will the the last to die after they have sacrificed nations.
But you did say that you joined the navy cos you were seeking the thrill of the fight right?
I was seeking the same thing when I was a teenager too but if you remember my earlier comment, it was my father who changed my mind when he put into perspective the endless cycles of wars that have been happening in my region for millennia.
And of course this was a time when I also happened to get involved with the church and got baptized which was the best thing that happened to me compared to alternatives at the time which involved drugs, illegal trafficking and a surge in weapons which resulted in a civil war.
What makes you think he should even be allowed to spectate?Zelensky is a spectator according the Reuters report. In what universe is that acceptable?
