I don't think it has. This Russia-Ukraine topic has been going on for a while now, and not much has changed. Gideon makes irrational arguments that are based on "Putin is evil" and partial facts; the arguments get refuted. No big deal.
It's not just the News forum. I'm talking about the forums in general, but you will especially see the conflicts in Bible Discussion. It's more than usual.
I think both Ukraine and Russia have legit reasons for fighting though. So I hate it when you both put each other's favorite leaders in a bad light to get other people to hate them. That won't do anything to get your favorite leaders to win.
This is all ultimately in God's hands. It will work out the way He wants it to whether any of us will like it or not.
Donald applauds Putin, the war criminal and despot who attacked Ukraine. This is the kind of guy he respects and wants to be like.
So did Putin agree to a ceasefire? I haven't heard anything about it. Donald hasn't said anything about that or those "serious consequences" if Putin didn't agree to a ceasefire. Seems like his Hannity interview would've been a great time to say something about it. Instead he talked for half an hour and basically said nothing. Well, at least the spotlight's off Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
Tell Gideon that, then; because he loves to make Putin out to be a primordal evil, like he is the direct lieutenant to Satan or something- whereas I am for sparing lives and American resources.
The things I said about Zelensky wasn't putting him in a bad light. I think his hands really are tied. And if I have put him or Putin in a bad light in another thread, it's not to get people to hate them- although I definitely don't want them to blindly accept what that leader says either. The fact of the matter is, they are both working toward what they believe is in their own interest; not America's or anybody else's.
Wars are won or lost by God's providence; that much is true. I think if it really worked out how God wanted to, nobody would have done anything to cause the war in the first place.
God does have a permissive will... That show's how smart and powerful He is! He can work with anybody's actions or thoughts and can still work their results somehow to work for Him.
For example, I did some pretty stupid things that had bad consequences which left me regretting them to this day. He didn't will for me to do those things, but God let them happen so I'd learn how much I needed Him in my life!
So I'm just going to see what God does with this whole thing between Ukraine and Russia....
Because it is only convenient for some people in the western world, and some people in Russia. I think a lot of Millenials and GenZ are getting sick of the Boom-X cold war mentality.
I think most young liberals and conservatives look at the democrat/republican social policies because they seem easier to understand- and then vote in accordance with that- so they only know as much about foreign policy and economics as the party that corresponds with their beliefs about social policy. You don't really think about where the money is going; because, after all, there are more things important than money- which is a true statement- and as long as they can get by, things must be okay... but people aren't getting by as easy as they used to; so, they start to look at where the money is going.
The largest transfer of wealth from the middle-class to the elite happened during the Biden administration. Even the liberals know it's true; but they're just too ashamed to admit it.
Both COVID and the Russia-Ukraine war were smoke-screen justifications for it; but the lid is getting blown off the cover-up.
So if you were charged with an offence that you did not commit, you would just let the prosecutor and judge convict you?

- Zelesnky had a 90+-minute call with Pres. Trump after the meeting with Putin.
- Zelensky then announced he will be in Washington D.C. to meet with Pres. Trump for further discussion toward ending the war.
- There might another meeting, this time with both Putin and Zelensky, with Pres. Trump, but has yet to be scheduled.
I'm not taking sides in this war, but I have to admit that I admire how Zelensky was able to manage inserting himself into this matter and refusing to be left out. It's nice that the little country won't lay down and die so easily.
