In other words, instead of building your life around the Bible, build your life around the Lord.
My reason for caring about what the bible says about God...

Matt 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

But the Lord speaks to us. He is alive and he speaks to us.

He spoke to us in the Bible, also, and we need to obey his commands, but he has more to say, and we must be listening and praying.

Yes, and if anything we think is him speaking contradicts the Bible, we are to side with the bible. (not everything we think is God, is God, surely you recgnize this)

Hi Jimmy

This guy needs prayer - not counsel. I suspect that he has psychiatric problems. He sounds just like my brother who does not speak from a sound mind. Heavenly Father, we pray that R33 will be healed in his mind and start to see things clearly. We pray that You will enlighten his mind, open his eyes and heart to receive your love, healing, cleansing. That you will deliver him from any darkness in his soul and set him free to experience yoiur truth and realise that the WHOLE of your Word contains truth without error. Please draw close to him and free his soul, in Jesus name Amen

This kind of show-manship is unnecesary.

The Lord is not a book.

If we think the Lord wants us to break one of his commandments, which is found in the Bible, then we know that is not the Lord speaking to us.

huh? What do you mean? Is it a bad thing to pray in public, agreeing in prayer? This guy is spinning all our heads going round in circles. Something is not right. I am trying to be helpful to you and to others. He is writing on quite a number of threads. II have spent a long time answering him but it leads nowhere

Agreed.

That is what I've been trying to communicate. The only difference between us is that you seem to not believe Paul's letters are inspired (let alone inerrent).

I think the Lord inspired Paul, but I think Paul didn’t always get the message quite right.

I like the idea of "shaddup"ing my face in church. Sometimes, EVERYONE should "shaddup" and listen.
Yes, I absolutely did just quote myself.

Ephesians 3:4-5

4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

So it says that Apostles "Which can be referred to as Paul" and Prophets gave new Revelation of God. If your doubting one of Gods Apostles then you are also doubting Jesus himself.

John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
So if the scriptures are imperfect then they could of been charged corrupted or what ever. Why would Jesus tell them to search polluted Scriptures?
God through Paul gave us Doctrine that is not new but rather more explained. And since Paul is an Apostle God gave him a job to expound the scriptures. By denying Paul you are also denying his other Apostles such as the books of Matthew mark luke or John.

DID Jesus write the Gospels? No he did not. So how can you trust them??? If Paul's on grounds of making things up then so are his gospel writers. They had the same standing as he did.

1 Corinthians 11

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. 6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. 7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man. 9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. 10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.
13 Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her[a] for a covering. 16 But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.

why should we imitate Paul and his traditions and not JESUS and the method He used to teach and spread His gospel?

When was Jesus ever concerned with the fleshly outward coverings of the soul or the clothes that adorn it, except to heal and bring it to life again?

the issue of woman pastor is a very divisive topic. I have heard both sides since I have attended various demoninational churches (Episcopalian, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran etc) and asked their pastors about it ,but I don't really care what their answers are but I am more concerned with what God's real answer is.

So why does Paul talk about women prophesying and praying here? where is here?
