First what does Peter say after the book of Acts?

Second does Paul or John say it's not needed?

First Peter 3:21 says water symbolizes or corresponds to baptism that saves, which is a good conscience and resurrection.
Second, neither Paul nor John say WB is needed, which obviously they would if it were.

Who viewed it as fading fast and why would spirit baptism come to be understood as crucial since both are necessary?

Where do you get that from?

What do you think of it, when they were baptized in the spirit?

JESUS FILLED THEM.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

I agree. The apostles continued to do water baptisms after the Lord ascended. Action can speak louder than words at times.

But Jesus Himself said:

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

This is why I don't listen to that clown or give heed to his silly creed.

Not yet. I wish you would pay closer attention to the 5 points, so you would see that we are still in the first one.

So, now that you understand it is not even a question but rather a statement about God, do you agree or not,
and if you disagree, then with what part specifically and why?

What 5 points your talking in circles. Your losing me...

Just get to the point and state it plainly not with a bunch of talking in circles.

Now @GWH can disagree with me if he likes....and it won't hurt my feelings, (ok, maybe a little)
But to me, water in scripture is a symbol of law.
Moving water (rain, river, springs....basically flowing) is God's laws, words etc.
The others are more every other type of law....from loosely held laws of traditions to codified civil laws.
All flowing to the sea....tehovm....chaos.

So....
Paul writes, "The letter of the Law kills but the Spirit brings life" which is a backhanded reference to two different days....the day Moses came down from the mountain with God's laws and the levites, with swords killed about 2,000 people and the day of Pentacost where about 2,000 believed and were baptized.

The Baptism practice of ceremonial Bathing stemmed from John the Baptist, which allowed the common man to speak to Good directly for the remission of sins and handle scriptures like a levite could.

So....where Baptism for SBC focuses on the coming out of the water as the important part....I tend to focus on the word itself which is a loan word for dying cloth, thread, or yarn.
Funny thing about batches of dye...especially made as they did. Same recipe made twice will still result in two different shades of the same color.
And God is looking for ONE color specifically....from ONE batch of dye...specifically his blood. Where the shade might seem different depending on the material dyed.....it really is not. Tie died, slash-drip, blotch, full immersion and soaked, yarn sealing up ripped holes....whatever. that one batch is necessary.

You have come out of the Law to live a new life....the Law has left a permanent mark on you. (Born of water AND Spirit) but you have that one indellible color upon your soul....but you are ALIVE.

And as far as getting wet? It's a tradition....even a smack upside the head with a wet dish rag works if done in earnest.

The five points enumerated in post #43!

The points that go in logical order!

The first point of which "There is a/one all-loving and just Lord or Creator God (Deut. 6:4, John 3:16, 2Thes. 1:6)" you agree with in post #61!

The five points the second part of the first point of which is "who is both able (2Tim. 1:12) and willing (1Tim. 2:3-4, Ezek. 33:11) to provide all morally accountable human beings salvation or heaven—a wonderful life full of love, joy and peace forever"!

Do you agree?
Sheeesh!!

All true.

But how did HIS disciples baptize?

Did they disobey HIM?

Is water a symbol of law in Scripture? Yes and no.
(How are you feeling :^)

Yes, water represents life (Rev. 21:6), and life results from believing GW (John 6:63),
which may be summarized by the law of love (Matt. 22:37-40).

No, if law refers to salvation via obeying the Mosaic Law or works other than the work of faith in Christ (John 6:29).

Probably how Jesus told them before He ascended. I did post that.

Well with that last statement you made a new friend, gwh.

Which surprised me that you would say that, I had to read it a couple of times.

He is spreading lies from Satan, he CLAIMS that being baptized in the spirit fills you with love.

He claims that spirit baptism replaced water baptism.

I challenged him on past debates of what came out of his mouth and would not answer but instead told me to start my own thread and he would answer them.

I am very careful with my words, he lied about that too.

Since we are born in sin and sin separates us from GOD then we have to get rid of it if we want to enter.

JESUS said in John 3:5 we need both to enter.

I know you know this verse.

JESUS speaking.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Which says, if you believe and get baptized, and those who don't believe for sure will never get baptized therefore they are already damned.

Since we are born in sin and can NOT enter Heaven with sin, these verse also say can't enter heaven without begin baptized.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

GOD BLESS YOU.
Yeah I don’t have any issues with Gwh or anyone else here even when they totally disagree with me. It doesn’t mean I have to not be friends with people or make them an enemy because we disagree about baptism .

a lot of the effectiveness of sharing and discussing scripture is that it’s not coming from a point of trying to prove the reader wrong but rather presenting truth to the reader and letting them accept it or reject it.

abut yes hopefully Gwh considers me a friend in Christ or at least not an enemy I’d be good with that also the same with you . I don’t think it’s a deal breaker when two people don’t agree on a subject but an opportunity to discuss and present scripture

You are right they did not disobey.

Every case of being baptized was in JESUS name.

I'm sure you notice in Matthew "IN THE NAME OF" the father, the son and the Holy Ghost.

What is "THE NAME OF" the father, the son and the Holy Ghost?

HIS disciples KNEW who he was.

I have the utmost respect for you.

Since GWH has his own bible going on but claiming it to be GODS word I have problem with that.

Would love to be freinds with everyone and call them brother.

BUT some are not brothers since they will not accept HIS word the way it is written and follow their own knolage or mens in their lives.

JESUS himself told the Pharisise of that day what he though of them, I will do the same especily if they are LIING about HIS word.

GWH is a monderen day pharisie who will NOT ACCEPT HIS WORD. I should say accepts the parts he likes.

Can call me all the names you want, I don't care at all.

DON'T BE LYING ABOUT MY DADDY JESUS.

If a man is lying about one thing, I bet he will lie about another.

Oh no I’d never call anyone names or anything like that.

and certainly I’m not a judge of anyone else neither you nor Gwh or anyone else who believes in the lord . Thier actions and words and even beliefs will be between them and the Jesus.

so my intention was just to present what the Bible says about baptism because that’s how other people who accept scripture hear about something like baptism

I respect you also I honestly try to respect everyone as best I can. I fail I’m sure sometimes too but it’s my intention.

but I’m not judging you or him was just talking about baptism

I don't know what your point is.

It's differently worded in different parts of the Bible.

Just accept it for what it is and move on.

Just in case I left you confused....
No amount of sanctification (works) can do anything for your Justification before God.

I consider everyone a friend who is friendly instead of calling me a liar, etc.
Those people I view as persecutors whose hatefulness prompts God's blessing per Matthew 5:11-12.

Yes, sanctification is caused by or follows justification, and we should not put the cart before the horse.

Yea I try to do the same and I know some things we don’t agree on but also we have had some decent discussions about things we do .

i learned from a church once how valuable this is and how destructive the opposite lesson is to a group of believers

“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, And every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:10-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when we appear before the lord that great day I won’t have to give an account for anyone else’s words or deeds , but will have to give account of my own words and deeds.

I don’t agree with you about baptism being replaced but you’ve known that for a long time lot of other subjects haven’t been the same way . I appreciate the people who take time to post here even if i don’t agree it gives me reason to look into it in the Bible

First Peter 3:21 says water symbolizes or corresponds to baptism that saves, which is a good conscience and resurrection.
Second, neither Paul nor John say WB is needed, which obviously they would if it were.

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

This verse is very clear and to the point water baptism does NOW save us!

AND because you OBEYED GOD your conscience is clear, IS YOURS?

As you can see by Peter that it IS NECESSARY.

But my question to you do they say IT'S NOT NEEDED?
