You’re not perfect either, and you most certainly are not Him! Look, I never meant to argue. I’m sorry, it’s not very Christian like!! Maybe we should agree to disagree…..

I’m also not a suit, and I never said “Everyone should have the same perfect doctrine.” All I’m doing is using Scripture, and if you don’t like the Scriptures I’m using to validate what I’m saying then so be it; we can discuss those verses. Blessings…..
I never claimed to be perfect. I never claimed that my understanding of doctrine was perfect. All I said in the beginning was that we can agree on essentials and disagree on non-essentials and not have to divide. You didn't accept that. I'm ok not dividing over non-essentials because I know we'll never agree on everything.

Agreeing to disagree is good as we seek to agree rather than to disagree, but when agreement this side of heaven
seems to be impossible, I simply bet that I am more correct and await collecting with heavenly riches on that side
in order to avoid playing endless verbal ping pong or getting stuck in a tar baby.

Amen! I guess you realize that agreeing on essentials is the point of the Kerygma thread?
Hope we agree about what is essential!

-"And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.""

Jhn 19:28
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
Jhn 19:29
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
Jhn 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Was Jesus drinking the fruit of the vine just before He died sinless?

Actually, He didn’t drink it.
Your time line is a bit off.
What I c&p’d was during the Last supper (Passover), and what your talking about is at the crucifixion.

The sour wine mixed with gall was offered to Him, and upon tasting it He refused to drink it. It perhaps would’ve dulled His pain.

-“The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine,”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23‬:‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

-“they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Actually, the soldiers offered the vinegar mixed with gall before they crucified Him (Matt. 27: 34) and while he was hanging on the cross some time before the end (Luke 23:36) both of which He refused to drink; but someone also offered Him some right at the end, which John says he received (John 9:28-30). So, I think my timeline for my citation is okay. He was offered vinegar at least three times. He received it just before dying.

Jn 9: 28-30 is about the blind man Jesus healed.

I think you meant John 19.

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭19‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Although it does NOT indicate that He drank it. Sometimes you have to bring in all the other verses regarding this same thing. With that being said, Matthew’s account said that He didn’t. Case closed!

When the three gospels give three different times that Jesus was offered vinegar, the natural conclusion is that Jesus was offered vinegar at least three different times. It is not "taking into account all of scripture to cancel out John's timing for Jesus being offered wine and receiving it, by assuming that Matthew and Luke, saying Jesus refused the vinegar, were writing about the same event as John, therefore Jesus did not actually receive the vinegar in John's account.

Oh my!!

This doesn’t mean that He was offered that many times, it just means 3 different apostles mentioned it; 3 different accounts of the same thing. Lol

So by your reasoning, Jesus was crucified 4 times, because all 4 apostles mentioned this event! 😳 (??)

This is very faulty reasoning, not to mention incorrect!!

Where they placed him being offered vinegar, fruit of the vine, in their timelines is different. So, the most plausible reasoning is that HJe was offered it thrice.

It certainly isn't applying my reasoning to the crucifixion to advocate there needs to have been four crucifixions to fit the four crucifixion accounts into one timeline.
