2 John 1:1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; 2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

John refers to himself as "the elder". At this point he is the last remaining apostle and the last person to have walked with Jesus in His earthly ministry. Think of the experiences he had which would be viewed as an incredible treasure. Paul referred to this when he prayed that we would know what are the unsearchable riches of our inheritance in the saints. There were riches in John, but the point is there are riches in all the elders. If you have a brother or sister who has walked with the Lord for sixty, seventy or eighty years, there is a treasure of experiences in them. This letter was written for the sake of the truth. This is the issue that one would see over the course of their life, the drifting away from the truth.

3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

This is also a key point that Paul made. We have to temper the truth with love. Paul told us to "speak the truth in love". There are a lot of errors that will occur and we will need a lot of correction, but when you speak the truth to others it needs to be in love. Many people will excuse their lies because they were trying to be considerate or thoughtful. That is baloney, if you really love someone you will speak the truth to them, but you will do it with the attitude and hope that they will receive it and not be offended.

4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

This is the issue with every church that leaves the narrow way that leads to life. Either they leave the truth like those churches that do not hold that the Bible is the inerrant word of God. They will take this charge to love one another and then decide that you can't call out sin as sin, because that is not "loving" towards the sinners. So even though the New Testament is clear that homosexuality is sin, they put pride flags outside their churches and have pastors that are in the LGBTQ+ community. That is not according to the truth. Jesus Christ is the truth and He is the incarnated word of God. But then there is the other temptation where you do believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God and since you adhere to that you are "holier than thou". You can become self righteous. Our mission on this earth is to pull as many out of the fire as we can. James said that if you can convert a sinner from the error of his way you shall save a sinner from death and hide a multitude of sins. Our mission is not to condemn sinners, it is to convert them from the error of their way.

6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

The Bible is not ruthless. Many people read the Bible and see that a Moabite cannot enter the congregation to the tenth generation. So just like the near kinsman of Ruth he refuses to marry her because it would damage his inheritance. But then others read the same Bible like Boaz and see that you are to marry the widow of an Israelite and raise up seed to him. Ruth was the widow of an Israelite, she had two statuses. So which one is it, how are we to know if we should treat her as a moabite or as a widow of an Israelite? She answers that question, she says "your God will be my God and your people will be my people". She was converted. This is the commandment that we heard from the beginning, we are Jesus' witnesses, we are to convert the sinners from the error of their way and so save many souls.

2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

So what exactly does this mean because they are deceivers, that means they are very deceptive. They will say Jesus Christ was a prophet, Jesus Christ was a good man, and even that they are servants of Jesus Christ. But they deny that He came in the flesh and there are many ways to do that. Some deny that Jesus actually died on the cross, to them dying on the cross is contrary to their opinion of a mighty, conquering king. But in turn that means they deny that He died for your sins, or that He poured out His blood. This deception is really easy to spot because it is contrary to so much of the word of God that anyone who actually reads the New Testament would know this is false. But others are much more deceptive, they will agree with everything the New Testament says about Jesus being crucified. However, they focus on the fact that Christianity is dead and there is a problem with Christianity and so you need Jesus but you need something else as well. I call this "Jesus plus something". If you need anything other than or in addition to Jesus' blood to be redeemed and set free from sin and bondage, then you are denying the work Jesus did on the cross. Note something else, this person is a "deceiver and an antichrist". Every single antichrist is a deceiver. The term means "counterfeit christ", they are a fraud, hence a deceiver. But not every deceiver is a counterfeit Christ. Someone who counterfeits US dollars is a deceiver, but they aren't trying to be a counterfeit Christ. Instead, antichrist is a particular kind of deception. They are counterfeiting the truth, especially the truth concerning Jesus and the Bible. Jim Jones was a deceiver and an antichrist. But then we have these tele evangelists for big mega churches which are also deceivers and an antichrist.

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

This is a very powerful verse that in my opinion destroys Calvinism. However, John does not say that we lose our salvation. The Calvinists can argue that what they teach does not contradict this verse, and that may be true, but they omit this verse. You can tell an outright lie, or you can lie by omission. Our mission is to convert sinners, but Jesus also has a mission to build the church. Paul said he worked with Jesus on building the church as a wise master builder. He also said that some of us will build with wood, hay and stubble, it will burn up in the fire and we will lose our reward and yet we ourselves will be saved. Doctrines of men are wood, hay and stubble. Some are so pathetically obvious that they are wrong, they are stubble. Some are just flimsy, they are straw. And some are actually very solid, and seem to be very good building material. We make houses out of wood all the time. That is Calvinism. It is a solid doctrine because it is based on the truth. What they tell you is true, however, they omit so much of the truth that the concept of "once saved always saved" becomes the error of don't worry about living in sin, you are still saved.

However, they are not the only ones who omit the truth. 25% of the Bible is prophecy and yet many, many pastors are told by the board of directors to not speak on prophecy, don't talk about the end times, don't talk about the Antichrist. By omitting the truth, they are leaving the body unprepared for what is coming.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Christ means "Messiah" or anointed one. To be anointed meant to be chosen by God to reign. For example we have a primary to choose a candidate for president. Whoever wins the primary is "anointed". In the NFL we have a draft, whoever is drafted is "anointed". However, just because you win the primary does not mean you are elected president and just because you are drafted #1 does not mean you will become an all pro. On the contrary the best players in the history of the NFL, people like Montana, and Brady were not drafted #1. The believers also have "an anointing", we also are "taking up our cross and following Jesus". But in the end it is not the fact that you were drafted that means anything, the real question is what did you do on the field. There is a very long list of "busts", people who were drafted with very high expectations only to be a bust.

Think of it this way, you have this giant cross country race. Thousands of kids are running, the first leg is High School team, second leg is College team. At this point the race is only a third of the way over but this is the point at which the teams draft players picking those who are at the front of the pack. But the race is 24 years, and you are only 8 years into the race. Just because you were leading the pack at this point does not mean you will be leading the pack at the end of the race.

Now consider David, he was anointed to be king by Samuel, but that was before he had to fight Goliath, it was before Saul tried to kill him and chased him through the wilderness. It was before all his battles with Philistines and Amalekites. The reason we remember David is not because Samuel anointed him it was because he defeated Goliath, and he became a great leader of men and a king. That was a process. That is the doctrine of Christ. Getting the anointing was not the end all and be all of the story, it wasn't even the major part of the story, it was the beginning, it was a great part of the story, but only a small part of the story.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

This is why this false doctrine they teach is so appealing. It is "you can be a king without all the hassle". Pray this prayer and poof, that is all you need to do. That is the lie. You are not converting anyone from the error of their way.

12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. 13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

I saw a long conference table and Senators, but I did not see Congress. They were sitting in this room very peaceful. There was no rush or panic even though outside I could see fires burning. There was chaos outside. These men were very resolute and patient. They were looking at their watches. They were in no hurry. BRIEFCASES WITH SEALED FOLDERS: I saw stacks and stacks of briefcases on this long conference table where these men were talking. I saw different Senators handling folders sealed with a clasp putting these sealed papers in briefcases and locking them. Again, they were very resolute and not in a hurry to get anywhere.

Is your testimony that you are praying for the saints that they would prosper and be in health? Is your testimony that your soul prospers?

Is your testimony that you are fellowhelper in the ministry of the truth?

9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

Or is your testimony that you love to have preeminence among the saints and don't receive those who are laboring in the gospel?

10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

Is your testimony that you are a prating fool speaking malicious words against the apostle and those who are ministering the truth and forbidding them to have fellowship with the church and even excommunicating them?

11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

Or is your testimony that you are following one of these men? All of these testimonies are going to be remembered by the Lord. Make sure you are following after the good.

12 Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.

Seek out those who have a good report of all men. But be careful, you can ignore Demetrius, the one who is a prating fool speaking malicious words.

There are certain men crept in unawares

Jude 1:1, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: 2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

This word multiplied is interesting, in Acts the word of God multiplied, in Peter grace and peace is multiplied, and in Jude it is Mercy and Peace and Love that is multiplied. He is the brother of James, that is truly a unique thing to say at the start of an epistle. It is important that two brothers of Jesus, James and Jude, would give their testimonies, and both identify themselves as servants of Jesus Christ. Both identify Jesus as the Messiah and as part of the godhead.

This word "preserved"

τηρέω tēréō, tay-reh'-o; from τερός terós (a watch; perhaps akin to G2334); to guard (from loss or injury, properly, by keeping the eye upon; and thus differing from G5442, which is properly to prevent escaping; and from G2892, which implies a fortress or full military lines of apparatus), i.e. to note (a prophecy; figuratively, to fulfil a command); by implication, to detain (in custody; figuratively, to maintain); by extension, to withhold (for personal ends; figuratively, to keep unmarried); by extension, to withhold (for personal ends; figuratively, to keep unmarried):—hold fast, keep(- er), (pre-, re-)serve, watch.

Jesus is guarding us from loss or injury. He is keeping an eye on us to hold us fast, or preserve.

3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

James was the chief elder of the church in Jerusalem, Jude here is exhorting us to earnestly contend for the faith. He is like a coach. He is like the guy in your corner of the ring who between rounds is telling you what you need to do in this fight.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

And the first thing he wants to point out is something the enemy is doing that is very sneaky. A few years ago the parents of children in school were shocked to find pornography on the shelves of school libraries. You might assume that it was an oversight, a book slipped in by mistake. But when parents tried to get the books removed they were hit with stiff resistance, accused of being "book burners", etc. Some of these books were so disgusting that you were not allowed to read them at a school board meeting and yet they were even on shelves in elementary schools. However, instead of being ashamed they fought tooth and nail against organizations like Mom's for Liberty who wanted them removed. What was even more horrifying is that this was not a single school here or there, these books were "approved" by the NEA, National Education Association and were in school libraries across the country. These people had crept in unawares, and they were ordained for this condemnation. Their was a hidden agenda to inject pornography into schools at the youngest age. We also discovered that sex education was not what we had when we grew up. It was graphic with props to demonstrate the various things and it was often taught to coed classes making it even more awkward. It seemed like the curriculum was written by someone working for Playboy. What had started as a health class warning of various sexually transmitted diseases had turned into lasciviousness. They all had various strategies and theories on what the best way to address sex, but the one constant theme was a complete denial of Jesus Christ. Predictably pornography has become a major epidemic in this country and a much bigger business than professional sports. Broken families, single parent mothers, and poverty are all part of the wreckage of this as well as AIDS and abortion. Some have theorized that this is by design. If you can destroy the family then people will be more dependent on the state. It is interesting that in virtually every other country on the planet boys and girls in high school wear uniforms and go to separate boys school or girls school. It seems every other society realizes the risks of premarital sex and babies out of wedlock and has put up guard rails to protect against it. Only the Americans think they don't have to worry about this? High school uniforms for girls also makes it harder for the girls to be prostitutes, it is like a warning to all men to avoid this girl. Uniforms for both boys and girls makes it harder to be truant. The parents make sure the kids go to school in their uniforms and once school starts any cop can immediately spot a kid who is not in school. But apparently the Americans are not concerned with gangs enticing their kids away from school.

Satan understands, just like the Catholic church does, that if he can get the kids while they are kids he can hook them on pornography or gang violence from a young age and then he'll have them for life. Get a girl pregnant in school and few years later she'll have a bunch of kids and be on welfare. And our welfare system is also designed to encourage single parent moms as they would lose benefits if they got married. It has been very successful, 60+ million abortions, criminal gangs in the major cities, and a very large number of single mothers in poverty.

Jude says this was ordained of old. Yes, Balaam used the same strategy in counseling Balak on how to defeat Israel. In that story we discover that this fornication infested the Israelite camp. What Jude is telling us is that these men sneak into the church. It turns out they have, many churches in the US are 501c(3) charitable organizations that have a board of directors. Often FreeMasons will join the board, provide a lot of money to the church and then influence the church. They want to focus on growing the congregation. They do that by bringing in music and bands like Hillsong. The music industry for Christian popular songs is very big, very profitable, and often involves witchcraft and fornication. Also to grow the church they want the pastor to emphasize the "Once Saved Always Saved" doctrine that if you pray to receive the Lord you are saved. Is this true? Sure, you can make a very strong Biblical case. But think about salt, or sugar. Are they essential to your health? Sure. But junk food emphasizes them and eating too much salt and sugar is very bad for your health. The entire Bible is good for food, but because of this emphasis on "OSAS" you will find that pastors do not preach from the whole Bible. The sermons are often like processed food, white flour, too much salt and sugar, and not enough fresh ingredients. Processed food is when you cut out part of the food. The FreeMasons don't want you talking about prophecy, that is 25% of the Bible. They don't want you talking about the Antichrist or the end times. And they want every message to conclude with a message from our sponsor: "OSAS". The New Testament concludes with an exhortation to contend for the faith, these messages conclude with a message that you don't need to contend for the faith because once you are saved you are always saved.
 
Feeding themselves without fear, clouds they are without water

9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

First and foremost we need to fear God. He is the judge, not you or me. If you presume to be a judge that is a sin of presumption and that opens the door for Satan to attack. Think of Job, he was in a hedge of protection by God, Satan couldn't touch him, but then he did something that God wanted to deal with and so God allowed Satan to attack. It was limited but still quite brutal. If you judge someone else not only is that presumptuous but it is also arrogant. You are usurping God's authority and pride goes before a fall.

10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Wow, we have seen this on social media. It is incredible how bold people are to speak evil of those things they know not. I refused to get the vaccine. I never claimed to know anything about the vaccine that proved it was bad for you. Many other people did make those claims which they couldn't prove. No, what I said was I had Covid, based on that I don't need the vaccine. Second, it is not my job to prove the vaccine is unsafe, it is their job to show me the evidence that it is safe and they have not done that. Third, Fauci is lying and I don't trust liars. Meanwhile what did others say? The insults hurled at people like me were incredible. I am a scientist and yet I was anti science. I had all my shots required to teach in NYC and yet I was "anti vax". Because of this they argued that I should not be able to get medical care in a hospital. I was in NYC, I had been diagnosed with cancer, they did a biopsy, concluded it was cancer and needed to be removed, but they would not operate on me unless I was vaccinated. Doesn't matter that I had paid my taxes all those years and had paid for health insurance.

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

But now the evidence is coming out that they were running greedily for gain. The hospitals were paid off to fudge the reports, the teacher's union was paid off to shut the schools, and apparently most pastors were also coerced into going along with the whole thing being unconstitutional. Cain was jealous of Abel and killed him and it seems big business was jealous of the small businesses and killed them. Balaam was a prophet for hire and it seems many Christian preachers sold themselves to help sell this abomination. Korah was in the priesthood and rebelled against Moses. He was the first example of the apostasy and the ground opened up and swallowed him.

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

I read this and I get the impression that Jude does not like these people. I like this reference to them feeding themselves. I was once working on the construction site of a Christian convention center. We were all volunteers working for free to build this convention center that was both a publishing facility on the first floor and a large meeting hall on the second and on the third floor there was an apartment for the preacher. While working on this site the son of the preacher, a man who clearly was described by Jude 12-13 came to fellowship with the workers. So the brother in charge gathered up all the full time brothers (there were around twelve of us) and took us to this very nice restaurant serving lobster to fellowship. We all sat around watching at this one man (the son of the preacher) ate. Afterwards I thought about this, we didn't fellowship about anything, we simply watched him eat, what was the point? Then I realized that he was going to expense this. Generally we would go out to a restaurant that was a buffet, ten dollars for each person. His meal cost over $100, it would have stood out, so he needed to have all of us there to make it look like a reasonable expense. So just like Jude says he fed himself without fear, and he was a cloud without water. He was later exposed as an adulterer, foaming out his own shame.
 
As long as you are in Jesus you will be kept from falling

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Enoch was taken, that was an example of the rapture of the church. Being the seventh from Adam is a reference to the church as the number seven is associated repeatedly with a complete work done on God's people. Enoch is the root of the word for Hannukah and it means dedicated, consecrated. There are a lot of people who will say they are Christians, but now many of them are fully consecrated to the Lord. Many sing a song for the Lord to send them where He would send them, but then when they are told by the Lord to go somewhere they won't go. They don't want to give up the job or sell the house or lose their friends, etc. So when the church is raptured then ten thousands of His saints come, a reference to the 144,000 evangelists during the tribulation. The word for ten thousands can be translated as ten thousand times ten thousand, which is 100 million. That is certainly a whole lot more encouraging, but even so, 100 million is less than 2% of the world's population and closer to 1%.

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

During the age of grace we are speaking the gospel which is that everyone is a sinner, but you can be saved by the sacrifice that the Lord made. People have felt they have plenty of time to make a decision for Christ. But during the tribulation the clock has run out, people will be forced to make a decision. Also the ungodly deeds will be multiplied, which is why he starts this epistle with multiplied mercy.

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

We call this kind of person a brown nose or yes men. They think the secret to getting ahead is to be the number one fan of the guy in charge. Christians in contrast to these are only concerned with what the Lord says. As long as the Lord says well done thou good and faithful servant then they are happy. Also, we are not looking for an advantage in this present age. We understand this is a brief period of tribulation that we go through before we enter eternity.

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

This has become abundantly clear with social media. The things people say, the mocking, the ungodly lusts, the sensuality, the people who separate themselves from the Bible, from the Church, from Christians. We were warned and we should be encouraged because if you are experiencing this then you must be on the front lines battling the gates of hell.

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

In my experience either we are building up our most holy faith or we are being torn down. There is no in between. Think of the Christian life as a marathon race. If you are not moving forward, it isn't just that you are stopped, it is that the rest of the racers are passing you by. To me building yourself up in the faith is done by spending time in the word of God, in fellowship, and in study of the word. However, the application of that is in prayer. Jesus said that they came to the word of God because they thought that was where the life was but the word of God testified of Jesus and they didn't come to Jesus. The word of God testifies to us of Jesus, then we take that word to God in prayer so that we could be filled with Jesus.

21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Many would say "keep yourself in the word of God" but there are many who are in the word of God but not in the love of God. They are like the church in Ephesus which was good and figuring out who was and who was not a prophet of God but they left their first love. If we are building up our holy faith then we are in the word of God, if we are praying then we are going to the Lord. If we keep ourselves in the love of God, that is a three fold cord. Ruth comes to us, we are in the word of God, we know that a Moabite cannot enter the congregation to the tenth generation. However, we don't judge Ruth, instead we take this word to the Lord in prayer, praying that we would keep ourselves in the love of God. In the love of God we get the word that Ruth is also the widow of an Israelite and the word of God says that we are to raise up seed to our brother who died by taking care of his widow. Now, we are looking to show mercy to people because if we show mercy to them God will show mercy to us. Here is a great opportunity to show Ruth mercy, instead of judging her because she is a Moabite I show her mercy by recognizing that she is the widow of an Israelite.

22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Boaz had compassion and that made a difference. But with Lot the angels had to pull him out of the fire and only three out of six of the family actually made it out of the fire.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

You cannot keep yourself from falling, only Jesus can. That is why everyday we need to go to Jesus and stay in His presence. As long as you are in Jesus you will be kept from falling.
 
The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Let's remember everything in the Bible is a revelation of Jesus Christ. When we see the monsters, they simply reveal who the Lord is because Jesus went into the ring and defeated them. When we see the sinners this reveals the Lord because He went into the ring and saved them. When we see the apostles it reveals the Lord because He transformed them. When we see the sick Jesus healed them. When we see the dead Jesus raised them up.

When we see the prophesies fulfilled we see Jesus who knew all these things were going to happen thousands of years ago and told us beforehand, not only what would happen but what we should do. There are people who just five or ten years ago could not believe these things would happen, who you going to trust, Jesus who told you this two thousand years ago or some guy who was clueless ten years ago.

So then if you see this you can see how there is a blessing to those who read this, those who hear this and those who keep the things written therein.
 
To whom be glory and dominion

4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

This revelation is written to the seven churches and the purpose is so that we would have grace and peace. The first thing we need to see is that Jesus is He who is, who was and who is to come. The second thing we need to see is the seven Spirits which are before the throne. Each church has a spirit and when we pray one with the Lord that Spirit is before the throne. Nothing will give us more grace and peace than to see those two things.

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

But there is more. We need to see that Jesus Christ is the faithful witness. Our goal is for the Lord to tell us "well done thou good and faithful servant" but in order for that to happen we must be one with the Lord. Otherwise He will say "depart from Me I never knew you". Also, Jesus is the first begotten of the dead. He is the one that can lead us into the resurrection. He told us the way, we are to take up our cross and follow Him. And He is the prince of the kings of the earth. On the one hand the whole world lies in the evil one and yet, on the other Jesus is the prince of the kings of the earth. How can this be? It depends on our prayer, our prayer can cut the cords to Satan. Yes, the whole world is under the thumb of the evil one, threatened, blackmailed, coerced. Pray for those cords that bind them to be broken and they will all bow the knee to Jesus Christ. There is no love in the kingdom of darkness, so for those deep into that kingdom the Lord's love is a shining light, they believe in God, what they don't believe in is a God that loves them, and washes us from our sins with His own blood.

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Wait, what?! Us? He has made us kings and priests? Can you believe it? We pray that all glory would be to God, but for what? He rose from the dead, he redeemed us, He loves us, but also because He has made us kings and priests. When people see the transformation they will not be able to believe it. They will know it wasn't you, so they will give glory to God.

And dominion. Do you understand that the way the Lord is going to reign is through the church that He has made into kings. Jesus is the coach and we are the bunch of misfits and cast offs that He has transformed into world champions. There is a common saying, "If you want to be the best you have to beat the best". That is what we see in the book of Revelation. It is the conclusion, we are going up against the very best that the enemy can throw at us. But Jesus is the captain and the 144,000 are behind Him, a conquering army.

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

This conclusion has way more build up than a Super bowl. For two thousand years we have been anticipating this moment.
