You know how the devil tries to duplicate everything that God does or has done?
I never thought about that in regards to climate change before. It makes sense that the devil would attempt that too when we look at his bio. We see that it's the excuse that globalists are using to gain control of absolutely everything. I will go back and read that again with what you said in mind .

I don't claim to know all the answers.
I believe that Christ will return to catch us away from here just before He pours His wrath out upon the earth. However, the events to come in Revelation 6, etc are probably close at hand unless the Lord changes the events we are going into.

According to Revelation 13 the mark will be required by the false prophet after the anti-christ takes a deadly head wound and stands up alive again, and after he instructs all to make an image of the anti-christ and worship it.

Worship will be a required identifier of the Mark, so I don't think this is actually it. However, there's some time and a missing piece or two between now and then. That's what I hope we can discover ahead of time.
What do you think about the World Patent number that Bill Gates chose for his latest tech?

So you question the Scripture? I believe what it says. Only those who worship the beast or his image will be offered the mark. Revelation 13 also states the anti-christ will have 1260 days after he stands up alive after the deadly head wound.
I always stay with the original meaning of words in the Greek or Hebrew languages.
The Greek word translated mark means a scratch or etching so it will be visible.
I don't waste time on the theories and videos. I am not worried because those who are truly saved will not worship the beast or his image or take the mark.

You mentioned Revelation 16, but
"We have not been appointed unto wrath.*
Verse 1 begins that time with,

"1And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. "

I'm coming from a perspective of the current time and very near future. I believe that the Earth is not presently overpopulated. On the other hand, I can look at population centers of poor infrastructure where too many people are crammed into limited areas. That's a current problem of economies and social conditioning.
You also have millions coming across that southern border from all over the world. That is changing the population tremendously in many places.

I think we will go through the tribulation.
A lot will die during that time. Then the catching away from the earth will remove believers in Christ. At which time is when God will pour out His wrath as you mentioned.
That will reduce the population quite a lot of one piece chapter 1163.

Let God be true and every man a liar.

I'm questioning what others think about this evolution towards what looks like

In my opinion all this talk about AI and other tech is a distraction from where and who we should be looking at.

I didn't know that learning about Bible prophecies excluded me from focusing on Christ. That's an interesting perspective. The Internet in general certainly is the biggest distraction to humanity IMHO.
Yet, as much as I work on that myself, I try to use it to share the gospel.

Using the internet to spread the Gospel is a great thing.
I was referring to those who want to say the mark is associated with AI and/or modern tech.
I do not believe that to be the case. It will be a simple mark on the hand or the forehead that will not need a scanner or electric power to see. Much like Germany did with the Jews in the 30's and 40's.
