So all we have to do is believe.

John 3:16 believed in HIM or what HE says? To you just HIM means muslims and every denomination out there is reborn.

Again why wasn't Cornelius save in Acts 10:1?

Then GOD saves us.

WOW, so how do we get rid of our sins?

What happen to JESUS filling us with HIMSELF the Holy Ghost?

We will be in glory with the devils.
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

We don't have to repent or nothing, can we drink all of the beer we want smoke weed all we want as long as we believe?

Meet fokes that think the way you think.

Matthew 7:21-23
King James Version
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I'm thinking they must have believed they sure were working for HIM AS HE CAST THEM INTO HELL.

Best of luck, keep in mind when you stand in front of JESUS HE will be judging you with HIS rule book not your altered one.
I don't know why you want to bring Cornelius into the discussion since His story contradicts your doctrine. First, He received the Holy Spirit prior to his baptism. Do you think his sins were washed away before his baptism, or do you think he received the Holy Spirit while he was still in his sins? Second, the passage includes this verse: "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins" (Ac 10:43). Why do you think Peter says all the prophets gave testimony that those believing in Him would have their sins forgiven and made no mention of baptism?

It is curious that you would associate drinking beer and smoking weed with believing in Jesus. It reminds me of Paul's questions in Romans 6:1 and 6:15. These questions are posed from the point of view of the flesh. The flesh sees grace as an opportunity for sin. And the reasoning is straightforward: If we do not have to pay for our sins, then why not just sin to the max? This is what the flesh wants because it is sold under sin (Rom 7:14). As Thayer said, the flesh is completely under the control of the love of sinning.

But that is not what the Spirit says. The Spirit says, "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh" (Ga 5:13). We stand fast in the Forgiveness/Grace/Mercy/Liberty that we have in Christ (Ga 5:1) and do not seek rightness with God through obedience to the law (Ga 2:21, 3:21). And we do not use Forgiveness/Grace/Mercy/Liberty as an excuse for sin. This is what trust in Jesus means.

Yes I do believe JESUS filled them when they were in their sins, because I don't think Peter would have baptized them in JESUS name to reborn their sins. BECAUSE IT'S BIBLE you read it why don't you believe it?

Like you don't believe Acts 2:38!!

THIS IS A LIE, "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins" (Ac 10:43)

Can't someone believe in JESUS and drink beer and weed???

You said all we need to do is beleive!!

I asked you have YOU receied the Holy Ghost since YOU HAVE BELIEVED???

You can't even tell me how we get rid of our sins, let alone how we get the Holy Ghost.

You are convinced that your view of the Bible is correct and everyone who disagrees with you does not believe the Bible. But you are not the arbiter of what is true and what is false. Each of us are accountable to God for what we believe (and teach). And He holds teachers to a higher standard. So, if you have a quarrel with someone over the meaning of any Scripture, produce arguments that support your opinion rather than just saying your view is right and their view is wrong.
Like you don't believe Acts 2:38!!
You are right that I do not believe Baptism washes away sins. Only God can forgive sins. And He doesn't need a ceremony to accomplish it.
THIS IS A LIE, "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins" (Ac 10:43)
Is the verse a lie?
Can't someone believe in JESUS and drink beer and weed???
Sure, so what? My point was that your association of faith with smoking pot and drinking beer is an association that the flesh would make. Then I went on to say what trust in Jesus means. But you don't want to address either of those material concepts.
You said all we need to do is beleive!!
I don't remember saying that.
I asked you have YOU receied the Holy Ghost since YOU HAVE BELIEVED???
I don't remember you asking that. But the answer is that I received the Spirit of Christ into my heart the moment I believed. And there is no second blessing. His Spirit is the Father's Spirit and their Spirit is the Holy Spirit. There is only one Spirit.
You can't even tell me how we get rid of our sins, let alone how we get the Holy Ghost.
I told you twice already. The only way to get rid of sins is for God to forgive them. That's now three times. What you're really saying is that I do not believe that baptism washes away sins. And you're right about that.

I believe GOD'S word to be 100% true.

You do not.

Satan's knows what happens in the water, you don't, his plan to keep people out of it and if they get in it keep JESUS name out of it.

As you can see it's working.

Best of luck.

You apparently have deep trust in water. Maybe one day you will be able to see past the water to Jesus.

It's not trusting the water, it's trusting JESUS word.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Just like in Acts 8, 10 and 19.

If being baptized in JESUS name is worthless then what else did JESUS say that was worthless?

I don't know if you're doing it on purpose or not, but your only argument seems to be, "My view of Scripture is right, your view is wrong, and since you disagree with me, you disagree with and contradict Scripture". Actually, that is not really an argument at all, it's just a statement of what you believe.

Since I only shared scripture why do you say it's my view?

One thing I don't do is argue, I share HIS word and that way if there is an argument it's between those who read HIS word that I post and JESUS himself.

It really has nothing to do with me, except I'm doing my job by spreading HIS word.

I believe it is a compliment for him to claim scripture is your view. :D

They are saved, salvation is an event, completed once in real time, Jesus THE Christ says so.
Where do you read Jesus saying that "salvation is an event, completed once in real time"? Are you referring to His salvation for us being prepared once for all, or our salvation being entered into by grace through faith?

You twist Scripture to fit your doctrine. You do it with baptism when you say baptism washes away sins. You do it with the the Holy Spirit when you say that a person's sins can remain unforgiven even after receiving the Holy Spirit. You do it with tongues when you associate speaking in tongues with salvation. And you do it with faith when you say that whoever disagrees with you disagrees with the Bible.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
This is a good article on the verse:

Acts 2:38
Repent ye (μετανοησατε [metanoēsate]). First aorist (ingressive) active imperative. Change your mind and your life. Turn right about and do it now. You crucified this Jesus. Now crown him in your hearts as Lord and Christ. This first. And be baptized every one of you (και βαπτισθητω ἑκαστος ὑμων [kai baptisthētō hekastos hūmōn]). Rather, “And let each one of you be baptized.” Change of number from plural to singular and of person from second to third. This change marks a break in the thought here that the English translation does not preserve. The first thing to do is make a radical and complete change of heart and life. Then let each one be baptized after this change has taken place, and the act of baptism be performed “in the name of Jesus Christ” (ἐν τῳ ὀνοματι Ἰησου Χριστου [en tōi onomati Iēsou Christou]). In accordance with the command of Jesus in Matt. 28:19 (εἰς το ὀνομα [eis to onoma]). No distinction is to be insisted on between εἰς το ὀνομα [eis to onoma] and ἐν τῳ ὀνοματι [en tōi onomati] with βαπτιζω [baptizō] since εἰς [eis] and ἐν [en] are really the same word in origin. In Acts 10:48 ἐν τῳ ὀνοματι Ἰησου Χριστου [en tōi onomati Iēsou Christou] occurs, but εἰς [eis] to ὀνομα [onoma] in 8:16 and 19:5. The use of ὀνομα [onoma] means in the name or with the authority of one as εἰς ὀνομα προφητου [eis onoma prophētou] (Matt. 10:41) as a prophet, in the name of a prophet. In the Acts the full name of the Trinity does not occur in baptism as in Matt. 28:19, but this does not show that it was not used. The name of Jesus Christ is the distinctive one in Christian baptism and really involves the Father and the Spirit. See on Matt. 28:19 for discussion of this point. “Luke does not give the form of words used in baptism by the Apostles, but merely states the fact that they baptized those who acknowledged Jesus as Messiah or as Lord” (Page). Unto the remission of your sins (εἰς ἀφεσιν των ἁμαρτιων ὑμων [eis aphesin tōn hamartiōn hūmōn]). This phrase is the subject of endless controversy as men look at it from the standpoint of sacramental or of evangelical theology. In themselves the words can express aim or purpose for that use of εἰς [eis] does exist as in 1 Cor. 2:7 εἰς δοξαν ἡμων [eis doxan hēmōn] (for our glory). But then another usage exists which is just as good Greek as the use of εἰς [eis] for aim or purpose. It is seen in Matt. 10:41 in three examples εἰς ὀνομα προφητου, δικαιου, μαθητου [eis onoma prophētou, dikaiou, mathētou] where it cannot be purpose or aim, but rather the basis or ground, on the basis of the name of prophet, righteous man, disciple, because one is, etc. It is seen again in Matt. 12:41 about the preaching of Jonah (εἰς το κηρυγμα Ἰωνα [eis to kērugma Iōna]). They repented because of (or at) the preaching of Jonah. The illustrations of both usages are numerous in the N. T. and the Koiné generally (Robertson, Grammar, p. 592). One will decide the use here according as he believes that baptism is essential to the remission of sins or not. My view is decidedly against the idea that Peter, Paul, or any one in the New Testament taught baptism as essential to the remission of sins or the means of securing such remission. So I understand Peter to be urging baptism on each of them who had already turned (repented) and for it to be done in the name of Jesus Christ on the basis of the forgiveness of sins which they had already received. The gift of the Holy Ghost (την δωρεαν του ἁγιου πνευματος [tēn dōrean tou hagiou pneumatos]). The gift consists (Acts 8:17) in the Holy Spirit (genitive of identification). [Robertson, A. T. (1933). Word Pictures in the New Testament (Ac 2:38). Broadman Press.]

I do not expect you to read this thoroughly or to consider A. T. Robertson's analysis or conclusions. But if you do read it and have questions, I can try to help you.

I am referring to being born from above.

It is singular event of trust and belief IN the saving act of Christ by which one is regenerated and receives the gift of salvation never to be revoked or undone.

Well there was to cases when people got the Holy Ghost FIRST and were not baptized later to remove their sins yet. Acts 2 and Acts 10.

John 3:5 says can't be reborn without being born of water and of SPIRIT.

I don't care if people disagree with me, because I don't share my opinion ONLY HIS WORD. SO when I share HIS word and poeple like yourself don't like it your disagreeing with JESUS not me.
