Ok so I thought of an analogy on salvation. I kinda wanna know what others think on it.

Say that there were 4 people in a jail that committed the same crime. Been living there for years and years. Shackled and all. It's a dark place. But then! One day, they were permitted to go free! Their shackles were taken off of them and they were told, "You have been permitted to be free if you want to be free."

One thought, "I've been wanting a way out of here for so long...here's my chance!" and goes out! But later, he comes back, and even puts the shackles back on himself! He decided he didn't want his freedom.

The second one thinks, "This has been my home for so long, I don't want to leave." and puts the shackles back on himself, too.

The third thinks, "Ok, so I'm freed." but can't get past what he did and so, he also puts the shackles back on.

But, the fourth decides, "I've been given a second chance, and I'm going to take it, and live my life the way I should." and goes out, and does just what he set his heart on doing.

So...inaccurate or not?

I don't know whether to take that as good or bad. I've no idea what Eric Ludy has said...

Comparable to something Eric Ludy said.

EDIT:
Found it...

The Gospel <--- clickity click

(Eric ludy is arminian, that's why he mentions "prevenient grace")
Y'know, just because someone's not calvinist...unless they say so, it doesn't mean they're arminian.

From what I understand of Ludy, he's not bad at all. (granted I disagree on soteriology, but he's not heretical about it)

And I never even realized there was something like that out there...

Seriously, then what is your point? To once again call me an Arminian? I already told you I don't totally agree with the Arminian views.
Nope. I posted it because what you said reminded me of what he said. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lol, that happens to me ALL the time!

For example, some of the arguments I use with Mormons and Muslims I thought were pretty original, until I saw they were actually pretty old.

EDIT:
*read title on apologetics website*
"oh cool, I can learn more!"
":O! That's my argument!" *reads: source is from 19--*

Yeah, I don't really know what I am...I just know what the Bible says, and I go from there.
