Three months a go I had a little boy, he is my third child. i believe I am truly blessed to have three children. however that is not the problem, the problem is that my husband is a golf a holic. Every Saturday he plays golf without fail even on Sundays. Especially if i say that we are going to church, he says he can go on Sunday because we (my children and i) are going to church. And that makes it o.k. Unless ofcourse the weather is terrible. My other two children are 10 and 6. During their whole lives my husband hasn't spent a great deal of time with them.
My husband time tends to be spent mostly at work first, then golf, then in front of the t.V.
Sometimes i think Id be better off with out him.
hhhhmmmmmmm, i don't know.
he has his good points i guess, he will play with the children. When i verbaly nudge him enough, but gently and kindly. he will do some jobs around the house.
i could go on but i won't.
love to know any opinions that could help.

May Jesus bless you.

When I think about marriages I think about Jesus and me.

Well, Jesus is the better of the two. I had my slumps also. And these are the worst situations. It is like trying to nudge a bolder that is too heavy for you.

But Jesus lit a fire in me!! And no one can put it out!! It is a burning desire!! Passion and zeal!! Not just good times, but tough times, yet amazing times!!

Now is the time to pray.

May Jesus bless you.

Im not married but hope to be one day. I do believe though that you need to sit him down and just talk to him. Don't attack him with what he isnt doing. Thank him for what he does do, but also tell him your feelings on this situation and what bothers you at times. I believe that if you really haven't talked to him about this issue before that he has gotten accustomed to his ways. hopefully he listens to your worries/concerns about how important spending time with your children especially at a young age. Maybe he doesnt realize what he is truly doing and how its effecting you or how it could effect the family in the long run. If he listens and cares for his family and you it may not happen over night but he will see and hopfully make some changes. dont expect it to be over night..but also dont forget to just thank him for the things he does already. And hopefully he will give you the thanks in return and appreciate you more for talking to him. You don't want to one day blow up and cause bigger issues. Deal with it now before it gets worse. It will make you feel better. I pray God gives you wisdom to get threw this.

Wishing you well in this situation love2bmum.

(Good advice here; even though it will be hard to thank and praise him when you are the one unappreciated and doing right. I hope you can share and get support from girlfriends and family through this too. Good on you for reaching out here: Good to continue, and socialize where you can, so you can stay strong and not get isolated, (and, if possible, not look too needy.)(If you can get him to think he's missing out on something, that would be a great day.) So wishing you all the best. )
