Proof that Donald Trump is trying to undermine the Democratic party.

It makes more sense to explain it this way in my ancestry anyway.
My family was first found in the Americas in New Spain in what is now called the town of San Pedro Texas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Pedro,_Texas San Pedro Texas was part of New Spain at that time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Spain and afterward it was part of Mexico(see location of San-Pedro on map of Mexico) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_War_of_Independence when Mexico won it's independence from Spain. Then San Pedro was in the Republic of Texas after the Texas Revolution but in the contested area(see map) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Texas until after the 1848 agreement after the Mexican American war with the United States. So my family on my mothers side always lived in San Pedro(until modern times) but San Pedro was in four different nations across history New Spain,Mexico,Republic of Texas and then the United States. Complicated I know but it's possible for a family to live in four different nations and never move off the same ranch in the same town.

I'm not question this, i'm questioning your ideas about nationality and loyalty.
I know that you present different ideas (which sometime align with the Democratic party) from time to time and you're a good person to have a discussion with while we have a cup of coffee.

You're born and raised in USA, yes?
Because if you aren't then i have nothing else to say and you're right.

But if you're born and raised in USA, it means that your allegiance (despite your ancestry) is to USA.
And culturally speaking, you're more aligned to USA compared to Mexico or Spain.

Example: My wife told one of my sons something one day and she said "In Albania they would say such and such if you do this".
And my son said : "Yes mom but this isn't Albania this is America".
I went over there and i told her "Be proud of your son for having such wisdom at 17 years old".

To further discuss this point while we have this coffee let's talk about some maps since in your post you make it seem like you live at the border.

Look at this area here.

1762266143658.png

People travel this area daily (legally ;) ) and people have properties in different areas of this region.
At the end of the day however, they identify with their country of residence not their vacation home in Patras.

So, if you live your life in an area where you go to school at, work at, get married at, own at, have a family at ... it means that you now are part of this culture. Not Spain, Mexico, Greece or whatever.

So i'm not sure why you want to identify with your ancestors while you have lived your whole life in USA, born here, gone to school here and spent your whole time or most of your life here.
In my other post, which i'm not sure if you read, i said this same thing where i separate ancestry with culture and ultimately your country of residence which is where you pay taxes and where your home and loyalty is.

Yes, Spanish-American culture exists, Italian-American culture exists, Irish-American culture exists and many others but the point is that those cultures are shaped by the American culture which is a new nation and those folks have nothing in common with their ancestors anymore because they're born and raised in USA.

So to circle back to Mandani.
This guy who was born in Uganda or i'm not sure where is shaped by leftists policies in New York which is a crazy state at the moment which i haven't visited in close to 15 years and i don't plant to visit ... ever.
These people, will want to come to your state and your governor in good taste and humor said that he will tariff them 100%.
And i also joked about your accent but there is truth to that. And it seemed like you either didn't get the joke or you want to double down on your Spanish while living in U.S. territory.

Yes me,my father, mother children, grand parents ect. were born in the US and are United states citizens. America is the name of a continent i.e. South America ,Central America and South America we live in North America in the nation named The United States of America(the nation) . I don't understand why you would say you would not have a discussion with anyone not from the united states because at the top of the home page on Christian Chat it tells you it is specifically for international fellowship ect. if it were me I would expect people from other international nations to join in the form. In light of that I would not expect it to be a forum intended for Conservative,MAGA Republican's exclusively unless the owners of the forum states that to be the case. I do align more to the right than to the Left politically but not as far right as others it seems.

Look, i remember you said this comment about 'America' before.
Everyone knows that 'America' means U.S.A.
Or most know it. For those who don't forgive them. But for those who do, try to have a sense of humor too.

Also, i'm having a laugh right now with you saying this:

How did you come up with this assumption bro? LMAO.

The point of this whole Melting Pot in the International Forum is to say an idea, back it up with reason and have a good debate which may involve humor and some coffee for friendship.

So here in this topic you're trying to defend New Yorkers and Mandani. I'm asking you why? I used humor but now the question is more direct.
Why do you disagree with your governor who wants to tax New Yorkers 100% IF he does it?
He hasn't done it yet, he just said it. Not reality ... yet. So, why do you disagree with that?

And see maybe there's the issue because I never mentioned Mandani nor am I defending him or his politics's(gives me goose bumps in fact, lol) . Abbott saying he was going to put tariffs on those moving to Texas after NY city elects Mandani though shows me just how slow Abbott thinks because who would flee New York and move because of this other than Conservative MAGA Republican supporters fleeing from a blue Democratic stronghold trying to get into Red Texas?

Are you serious right now?

Do you know that the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina is synonyms with New York.
Hundreds of Thousands of New Yorkers have moved there in the course of 20 years.

So what you're telling me right now is that Abbot is wrong for thinking that people will leave the state of New York and come to Texas?
Why would you say something like this?

Do you know how many Californians have moved to Texas?
A lot of stats on the web show an average of 100K a year in 2022 for example.

So, i'm curious. Why would you assume that New Yorkers won't move to your state?

"The Democrats are far more likely to win the Midterms, and the next Presidential Election, if we don’t do the Termination of the Filibuster (The Nuclear Option!), because it will be impossible for Republicans to get Common Sense Policies done with these Crazed Democrat Lunatics being able to block everything by withholding their votes. FOR THREE YEARS, NOTHING WILL BE PASSED, AND REPUBLICANS WILL BE BLAMED. Elections, including the Midterms, will be rightfully brutal. If we do terminate the Filibuster, we will get EVERYTHING approved, like no Congress in History. We will have FAIR, FREE, and SAFE Elections, No Men in Women’s Sports or Transgender for Everybody, Strong Borders, Major Tax and Energy Cuts, and will secure our Second Amendment, which the Democrats will also terminate, IMMEDIATELY. If we don’t do it, they are far more likely to do well in the upcoming Elections, which would mean a PACKED Supreme Court, 2 more States and 4 more Democrat Senators (D.C. and Puerto Rico), and 8 more Electoral Votes. Remember, Republicans, they are going to end the Filibuster as soon as they get the chance We know this because they already tried, and the only two people who didn’t go along are now out of office. But they have much less chance of WINNING if we have Great Policy Wins after Wins after Wins. IN FACT, THEY WILL LOSE BIG, AND FOR A VERY LONG TIME. TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER NOW, END THE RIDICULOUS SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATELY, AND THEN, MOST IMPORTANTLY, PASS EVERY WONDERFUL REPUBLICAN POLICY THAT WE HAVE DREAMT OF, FOR YEARS, BUT NEVER GOTTEN. WE WILL BE THE PARTY THAT CANNOT BE BEATEN - THE SMART PARTY!!!"

Billy the Kid was from NY and moved to Texas/NM so New York only denotes a city and States name and not the human being. Trump is from New York. The issue in Texas is he is trying to keep Texas from turning blue that's why he's doing the things he does with maps and such. Abbott and others try their best to redraw maps change wording on forms ect. to remain in power. In times past most of the Hispanics in Texas never saw any point in voting but in the last several years have registered and voted Red. Abbott at first tried to talk Trump out of the redistricting because he was afraid it could backfire. We may well see in the midterm's but Hispanics see the wars between the Blue and the Red's about like many look at the war between Spain and Mexico in their history so their loyalty is over their family and the food sitting on their table, treatment ect.. So they voted Red last time in hopes it would be better but if not Blue Red which ever of the two actually helps their family. The left right war and whose loyal to whom we Hispanics have been left out of until recent so it looked better to join the GOP than team Blue. Many may be exited over this but in a world where it's so easy to be treated unfairly it's best to join the side you see as the fastest easiest to work up in and take over and the GOP was it in Texas that's what Abbott's afraid of. About the NY equation if Abbott didn't want the lefties moving from Cal. to Texas he shouldn't invite people like Musk to move his companies to Texas and bring their employees.

I'm headed outside but tell Trump be careful who they profile,body-slam and starve lest we run for office our own selves.

Okay, this sounds like a reasonable post which deserves another cup of coffee.

Point number one: "It's not where you from but what ideology you follow." Totally agree with this. Doesn't matter where you from but what matters is what ideology you follow. For us Christians this is easy. We die for Christ and all of this is a nice side-show like i've said before.
But just like you enjoy a cold glass of water in a hot summer day, we also enjoy this 2-party show here and now.
So we are in agreement in this point.

Point number 2. I'm not very familiar with the whole redistricting of maps to gain election votes. I've read little about it and i don't know much so i can't comment there.

Point number 3. Having loyalty towards family. Totally understand that. Family is big where i come from too. Nobody puts anything higher than that, expect us Christians. I put God first, family second.

However i disagree with your point number 4 about profiling and body-slamming. You see, the whole reason we are at this point in the show is because the left has gone insane. This is where your prior cause is. It's unavoidable!
This is also why Trump said "i can shoot someone on 5th avenue, and still win". He knew that the left is deranged and mentally unstable. I mean a lot of us knew it but he said it.
So, to circle back to your governor. He knows that he doesn't want that mentality in there.
Again not to be confused with the color of the skin or your heritage but WITH Ideology! And the left are the biggest hypocrites in profiling and making everything about race by the way. That's why DEI existed until Trump took it down. Because the left MAKES the job qualifications about race not skill.
So i disagree with your point number 4, but agree with your 2 others.

Good talking to you and see you around for another coffee. (y):coffee:

Interesting discussion.

Re: "ideology" - I listened to a Christian yesterday referencing a study that says only 13% (as I recall) of Christians in the US have a Biblical Worldview and only 37% (as I recall) of pastors have the same.

Not good.

Re: "the left has gone insane" - seems like too mild a statement. The insanity needs to be dealt with where and when it starts. So many resources are being used to clean out what's been done but the depth and extent of the insanity is still being poured into the system and the after-the-fact dealing with it is in part why we are where we are. The rules of engagement need to be changed even more than they have been by the current admin.

Well let's set up for it then with this post and blend the livestream video of FOX and NBC and the interactive mapping of CNN. Don't leave an emoji on this post just yet. If Mamdani wins the NYC Mayoral race and also reaches or exceeds the 50% total mark leave me an award emoji, and if he loses you can pillory me with red x's like tomatoes for the lolz on this post desginated, but either way praise Jesus. Leave a reply after the election to collect your wager turn on that post. Most results are expected to start churning in around 9 PM EST.

Well while we wait for the main show some early results are coming in for the lesser VA and NJ races and it is already being projected that the democrat candidate Spanberger will win the governor seat in Virginia. This is interesting because while it wasn't as hyped as the NYC race, it was originally a more neck-and-neck race and Obama even had to personally step in to help Spanberger, and it seems that indeed Obama was able to give her a decisive boost to the finish line. This is actually probably the bigger win for the democrats in a pragmatic sense since it is a seat flip and though Virginia did ultimately vote for Kamala in 2024 so it's not an outright ideological flip, but it certainly banishes the hope that some conservatives had of VA becoming moderates or a swing state, the democrats earn a big W here though it might not be as talked about as our main event coming up in about an hour.

Oh here we go the first numbers are in! Will I eat crow tonight or do another News section victory lap of yet another prescient correct prediction and all the emojis thereof?

https://www.cnn.com/election/2025/results/new-york-city-mayor

This snapshot represents all the Early Votes and where the race has stood behind the scenes during the early voting of this week. Now the same day vote comes in. Mamdani is leading and starts off over the 50% mark, but can he hold it? Can Cuomo make a big come back or will he get force-retired and buried in the avalanche of the rising new golden age?

Zohran Mamdani
Democratic

Andrew Cuomo

I'm seeing a report that prior to Joe Biden's administration there were 17 million people on SNAP and now, after Joe Biden we have 41 million.

I have asked for a reference on this.

It is projected NJ's incumbent democrats will win the governor race and so retain that seat. On the NYC side of things Cuomo is tightening now with the same day results being counted and Mamdani has dipped below 50% and I can start getting a sniff of some crow on a technicality. Lol it's heating up!

Well noticing that Sliwa is much lower than the opinion polls projected for him I almsot wonder if maybe when push came to shove many of his supporters picked who they thought was the lesser two weevils. If enough of them viewed Cuomo as their lesser maggot then actually I might owe you 10 emojis and have to start chewing up those crows with glee, we'll see, it's a steep climb but for now by numbers it is technically possible still that Cuomo could win by the skin of his teeth.

And rather than edit this nevermind it's not possible lol, they just projected Mamdani the winner and dusty old Cuomo goes to the political dustbin with great ignominy forever, praise Jesus.. So the 50% bet now is the focus.
