Nation, as in Israel, per Scripture. Israel didn’t exist at that time.

He is also the father of all the Arabs through Ishmael. He was promised Ishmael would be the father of twelve princes.

Genesis 17:20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

Why do you keep denying that Abraham is the father of many nations, not just Israel?

Not a single verse in the Bible teaches the damnable heresy of John Calvin’s TULIP. You can give me all the verses, but not a single one will teach or imply it.

If God never walked back into the garden looking for Adam and Eve, if He never had mercy on Noah and family and kept them safe through the flood, if He never recused Israel from Egypt or sent His Son to die in our place ... what would happen to humanity?

Man cannot save Himself. Just about every page in the Bible makes that clear. He is born dead in sin, without any spiritual life and cut off from God. He is in a hopeless position and if it were not for the grace of God he would perish eternally.

Because in order for Calvin’s TULIP to be true, total depravity would have to be taught, since it’s built upon it. And total depravity isn’t found anywhere in the Bible. So, that means no verse in all the Bible teaches TULIP.

Just because I don’t believe in TULIP doesn’t mean I believe man can save himself.

How consistent are you with saying that? Taking your position consistently and logically, that is, with any scenario.

Just because I don’t believe in TULIP doesn’t mean I believe man can save himself.

It's not about TULIP. The question was asked "You don't believe in man's total inability by nature?" You replied "No".

You may not believe man is born evil as TULIP describes, but he has no innate ability to see or hear God. He is born with a genetically formed corruption in the body (sin nature) and without a spirit (dead in sin) which keeps him in the dark and blinded to the truth.

If the Lord did not come to us in grace and truth we all would become evil whether we wanted to or not because darkness and lies would be all we would ever know.

We may not be born totally depraved but we would become that way, guaranteed, without God's grace.

t he has no innate ability to see or hear God. He is born with a genetically formed corruption in the body (sin nature) and without a spirit (dead in sin) which keeps him in the dark and blinded to the truth
And you are incorrect. Again, there is not a single passage that teach this. You can give me all the passages, but they simply do not teach what you assert.

d "You don't believe in man's total inability by nature?" You replied "No".
No, I do not believe that. Man has the ability to seek God. If not, who gave them the ability not to have the ability? And how does one end up having the ability that they don’t have? This is where the in the heresy of Calvinism, they say the miraculous regeneration of the Spirit in comes in, where they have the Spirit to arbitrarily zap someone so they are then able to believe and have faith, which isn’t founded in the scriptures.

Psalm14-1-3-Job15-16s.png

Psalm 14 verses 1-3; Job 15 verse 16 ~ The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt; their acts are vile. There is no one who does good. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God. All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Man is vile and corrupt.

This is not true. Romans witnesses that all men hear the spirit witnessing through creation, and Jesus said that unregenerate men are taught of the father by the spirit to lead them to Christ. My own experience bears this out to be true

Watch our Calvinists friends twist that verse!! Calvinism is utter sickening!!! It makes God out to be a monster!! They themselves can’t even stomach the consequences of their own manmade theology, so they have to explain away all the logical and consistent outcomes when it’s presented to them!!

Not true. Creation itself, not the Spirit, attests to the existence of God.

Jesus said that unregenerate men are taught of the father by the spirit to lead them to Christ.
Jesus did not say what you claim. He was speaking to believers, not unbelievers, of how the Spirit would lead them.

Scripture does however say that the natural man cannot receive or understand things of the
Spirit, for they are understood only through the Spirit, which the natural man does not have.

You insert your opinions in favor of what is explicitly stated.

1Corinthians2-14.png

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians ch 2 v 14

Forget Calvin or Tulip or Reformed.

If he is born spiritually alive why does he need to be born of the Spirit in order to be a part of God's kingdom?

Jn.3:5-7
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

While I disagree one needs to be reborn to believe, the fact remains it shows we come into this world spiritually dead and need to be born of the Spirit. Oddly enough, Jesus said we shouldn't be surprised we are born spiritually dead and need to be born spiritually yet, many are. <shrug>

As for the sin nature:

Rom.7:23
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

There is a genetically formed corruption in our bodies that works against our love for righteousness. No matter how hard we try to do right, we eventually always fail. Only through God's saving grace can we overcome that error.

It began right below your post. They think that somehow men know about God through creation without the spirit of truth witnessing to them. And that somehow unregenerate men can learn of the invisible father without the spirit teaching them.

You contradict Jesus.

John18-37b-John8-47-Matthew13-11b.png

John 18 v 37b John 8 v 47 Matthew 13 v 11b For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice. Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Plus 2 Timothy 1 v 9, He has saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works, but by His own purpose and by the grace He granted us in Christ Jesus before time began.

It is what Scripture says, which you deny and replace with your opinion, as usual.

Psalm 19 v 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
