I think we are predestined to go to heaven and the free will we use decides if we stay there. Otherwise some children would go to hell. and I don't believe they do.
God gave us all the choice. Jesus died for our sins so that we may be free. If we were alll predestined then Jesus wouldn't have needed to die.

(1 Peter 1:4) To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

(1 Peter 1:5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Give all Glory to God please.

Yeah...yeah,...free will. Guess what, the power of God dominates your free will if you are chosen. It's called sanctification. Its HIS WORK not OURS!

You know, it may be out decision to accept salvation. But the only reason we even have the option is because of our Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins. We couldn't do it ourselves. There had to be something perfect. And HE was the perfect sacrifice! Jesus was! And because of Him, I'm alive! And because of Him, out of gratitude, I'm going to serve Jesus Christ! Because I deserved to die, yet He did! And how could I NOT be grateful and serve Him out of gratitude? How could He NOT make changes in me? How could I NOT go out there and serve Him? And show others the hope I have in me! And in hope that THEY might have hope, too. And with that, I'm outta here.

No...it's not. It really isn't. Pretty sure you misunderstood that.

Edit: I guess you can take it any way you'd like to take it...but I know how I intended it

Because if it was irresistable, I wouldn't have had a choice on it. But I do. And out of gratitude, my very own gratitude, (even the unsaved are thankful at times.) out of thankfulness, I'm going to serve.

Yes, thats exactly what irresistable grace means.

You serve Him because you WANT TO, and there is NO WAY that you would not want to.

I was not saying that I couldn't do anything but do that.

There is no such thing as "irresistible grace". God is not running a puppet show. He wants people to CHOOSE to love and serve Him.

Irresistable Grace isn't "forcing".... it's not puppetry work.

Just read Lil_Christians earlier post. She summed Irresistable Grace up pretty well.

Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

Jesus is talking specifically to His disciples. In Jesus’ day men who wanted to study and learn from a rabbi usually chose which rabbi they wanted to follow and emulate. Jesus is reminding them that He chose them.

Another way to look at this verse which is equally valid is God chose man over all His creation from the beginning, to have fellowship with Him. So yes, “God did choose us, we did not choose Him.”

I wasn't summing up irresistable grace. I assure you, not even the CONCEPT of Irresistable Grace existed in Jesus' time or even Paul's time.
