He did not die so that sinners could be sinners. As he died, he also rose from the dead.
Anyone who continues in sin after they have heard and believed and known the gospel of Jesus Christ, and who thereafter turns and goes back into sin/darkness, is like a dog that returns to their own vomit, or like a pig that, after it is clean, it goes again and plays in the mud, as that is the nature of pigs.
Jesus died, and rose again. He died to take the punishment of our sins on himself, and then rose again the third day to show his power over death. As sin leads to death, righteousness leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ.
So anyone who is a Christian should consider himself dead to sin, but alive unto God.

I would like you all to consider something please. Can anyone born of both the flesh and the spirit lie?,can they steal? Can they have sex before getting married? To those who have the baptism of the Holy Spirit, can sin in any manner of the flesh they choose,we all have this right in the freedom of the Lord. ( gal 5:13)
So yes, one can be anything,and have Holy Spirit in them. For which of us have not sinned before the Lord? ( john 8:7) Because of this,the Lord has told us all something,when we judge another. Rather then tell you, I will show you,and let you read for yourself. Rom 2:1-16 Kind of hits home does it not? I knew a pastor, who had many of the gifts of the Spirit of God in church,many looked up to this ah man of God,but in his private life,he was a horrible drunk.
What will be his ending result?? He stood and judged many who had the same problem in his church. Humm ( matt 7:17-27 comes to my mind. Every man and woman of God struggles with sin.( eph 6:12) Rather then point to one sin,let us look to ourselves in all sin. Let us do what Jesus commanded us to do, and let the Lord do the judging, not us.(1 john 4:7-21
We are not here to point to anothers sin,but to give comfort, love and understanding,for we ourselfs need to always remember what the Lord spoke through brother Paul.( Philippians 2:12-13) I hate sin!!! It is because I do hate sin so much,that when another does it,rather to point to them,I look unto Jesus,for the same grace I show another,for it is by this very same grace I have,I myself so need! Sorry if this will offend anybody, and by the way this is not a thread to ask if Homosexualism is a Sin or Not.... Like i said earlier, I'm sorry if this will offend anyone but i find it funny or i just try as much as possible not to burst into laughter when i see Homosexual or hear of one that says he is filled with the Holy Spirit or speak in tongues..
If we all agree, it's that Homosexualism is a *Bondage*, a demonic One!. And i personally believe that Homosexuals need Deliverance!... If i'm wrong correct me!. Homosexual feelings are caused by Demons right?.. So how can you be under possession of a Demon and claim to be filled with the Holy Spirit??????.. Can the both mix?. Can there be two Kings in a village?. One must leave for the other!..
So if you're Gay, then i think you have to first thinking about getting Delivered before baptism of the Holy Spirit.. Sorry but i find it puzzling, How can you be Gay and have the Holy Spirit?..lol. It's very funny to me

You will not be judged by the pitfalls of Paul, but by the words of Jesus Christ.
Paul will not be there to intercede on your behalf. No sinner will enter the kingdom of God.
Paul was speaking of his sinful nature, a nature men are born with by sin. But God gives a new nature. These two natures are at conflict with each other constantly, so that one would not do the things he would (concerning the new nature), which are expedient.
Paul wasn't Homosexual, and anyone who wants to associate the Holy Spirit with such an abomination should be VERY VERY VERY cautious about it. In fact, NOT do it.

I think yes because the spirit will wash out all that is un pure. Also if the Holy spirit cud fill the disciples, who were all sinners at one point why not gay people to. Also it can be argued that Jesus never came for the righteous he came for the unrighteous. Also if the holy spirit can fill a sexually immoral person why not a gay person

If Ramon's idea contradicts with God's idea, you have every right not to believe it. But if it doesn't, who can judge it? Who dares judge it!!?

I have not claimed that it is not a sin. But I also find
Lev 19:16 Do not go about spreading slander among your people.
Lev 19:18 Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
Does this mean that the Holy Spirit can not fill someone that holds a grudge? That the Holy Spirit can not fill someone that spreads rumours (a form of slander)? I could go on... Leviticus calls out much more than homosexuality.
Should I take your lack of a response to Romans 7:20 to mean that you concede that Paul continued sinning after he was saved and yet was still filled with the Holy Spirit?

The issue is whether one wants to justify it based on the pitfalls of Paul, or rather his lamentation at the war he was fighting.
I will not speak of Paul but everyone will be judged by the words of Jesus Christ, even by every thing he has spoken by his Holy Spirit. If you want to justify it, it is not justified with God.
The Holy Spirit would not be present without convicting in this area, else the person would be in rebellion against the Holy Spirit. God is holy.

Exactly, and I think that is what's being missed here. BEING gay, which seems to be far from a choice and which is to many a burden they wish not to have to bear, is no sin, I don't see how it could be, but of course someone engaged in homosexual sex is living in a state of sin in the same way as any straight person who is also in a state of sin. That's really all there is to it.
Who said anything about justifying? You VERY VERY VERY adamantly stated that the Holy Spirit would NOT associate with a homosexual. I made a very simple counter claim based on the fact that people continue sinning even after they have accepted Jesus into their hearts. The body is still sinful, though the heart and mind are holy.
I haven't attempted to justify homosexuality; I haven't attempted to claim it to be anything but sin. But the question was neither 'is Homosexuality sin' or 'can it be justified'.

It seems maybe this is just a misunderstanding of what was said, that one should not associate homosexuality with the Holy Spirit. And that is true, and God is holy and has nothing to do with that.
I am thinking maybe it is the word, ''associate.''
If I associated you along with murderers, that would bring shame to your name. Or if I associated you with blasphemers, that would be speaking of you as a blasphemer. Jesus Christ was associated with the Devil, WHOA!! And I am sad to say that many have associated the Holy Spirit with Devils!! NO NO NO NO!!
I see it as a container. If a container is filled with water, then nothing else is in it. And it was written that Jesus has no fellowship with Belial. Neither can one serve two masters, one will take precedence.
To even assume that the Holy Spirit would share with the spirit of homosexuality is almost blasphemous. But some take it to an extreme, which I have witnessed.
And some attribute lies to the Holy Spirit!!!! DANGEROUS!!!
But we read also, that whoever is born of God does not sin. What do you say to that?

You have to remember that God does not "categorize" sin. Homosexuality is still a sin, and people often assume it's so much worse than others. You can be baptized in the Holy Spirit as a liar, a thief, an adulterer... and as a homosexual. It's nothing that God can't take care of, like when you ask Him for help freeing you with any other sin. A married, Christian man will commit adultery with a woman other than his wife willingly, knowing that it is wrong. That's wrong in our eyes, too, but somehow, homosexuality has become so much worse than treachery of the one we've tied our very souls to. Which isn't right. Bottom line-- Homosexuality is a sin among other sins. God looks down upon them all, but if a homosexual believes on the name and works of Jesus, he can be filled. There's no reason why he can't. I don't remember reading "All who believe on the Lord shall be saved, as long as you're not gay". But I do understand the all-encompassing meaning of the word, "all".

I'm sorry but the spirit you were filled with wasn't the holy spirit. If you had a fullfillment it was a spirit of your own lust. That's a gross sin that God hates and he's not going to send his spirit to be in the same body with the other. You will serve God or santin but not both.
