Good news. Will it change anything in reality? I don't know.
So the RCC finally woke up to what everyone else has know forever; great job. One false doctrine down, only a few thousand more to go.

Yes, boys and girls, it is true! The Vatican has ordered the world’s estimated 1.4 billion Catholics to no longer refer to Mary as the “co-redeemer” of the world, reaffirming that only Jesus Christ came to save humanity by offering salvation and eternal life to all who believe in Him. Christ is the only mediator between God and man.

For Catholics,
the Catholic Church is the original, true Christian faith founded by Jesus Christ upon the Apostle Peter.
They view it as the "one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church" and therefore, not a false religion.
For many non-Catholic Christians (like Protestants and Evangelicals),
the answer is often yes, for specific theological reasons.
These groups generally consider Catholicism to be a deviation from biblical Christianity due to core doctrinal differences that arose particularly during the Protestant Reformation.
Some people in the Science community are saying we do not cease to exist.
And the Bible is true.
They are trying to get people to be on board that the Bible is true.
Even being sound in some things it teaches.
But I see they are putting forth the new age ways and what they believe about reality.
And they are saying they have the correct interpretation of the Bible having new discoveries and the Christians are interpreting it wrong.
Saying Christianity is not for modern times.
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

The new age movement that interprets the Bible and religions according to the occult and evolution, and people are going to evolve to be spiritual, and greater, and Jesus became an ascended master among others, and there is no personal God, but they honor the God of forces the power of the Cosmos, and the New Age Christ is the next world teacher.
The time will come that people will not want to hear the truth of the Bible but want to hear it according to the new age.
It is obvious when the Roman Empire embraced Christianity they did not get rid of their pagan, and occult ways, and it became their foundation for interpreting scriptures.
Because of that they can sway to go along with the world as it changes.
The Bible says the Roman Empire does not lose her dominion until Jesus puts down the world.
Which they shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Which will be all Caucasian led nations and nations taken over by them.
Which the new age is a Caucasian led plan.
Babylon will never have physical dominion again but her life is prolonged for a season and time.
Which they represent human religion, the occult, and the kingdom of man.
The Roman Empire has the physical dominion with the Babylonian spirit.
Since the Catholic Church is their religious institution they will go along with the new age interpretation of the Bible.
When the New Age Christ starts working in the world he will push the agenda of the new age and things will change drastically.
The plan is already in motion.
They do not care if they have to put forth the interpretation of the Bible that is pleasing to the Protestants.
Because the Pope will become the head of a unified religious system based on the new age interpretation of the Bible and religions.
And they want Protestants to be on board with them.
They will not come right out with saying the new age is correct.
But they are waiting for the New Age Christ to put forth the new age agenda and reality.
Which will pull in atheists, the other religions, some Catholics, and they are hoping it will pull in the Protestants believing his reality.
The main thing is to get people on board with the Bible even saying things that are pleasing to fundamentalists for the Bible is the main book that they will claim as their guide for spirituality.
And then wait for the New Age Christ to put forth the new age agenda and their interpretation of the Bible hoping they will follow that.
Which the Bible says some will depart from the faith and follow them.
And the time will come they do not want to hear the fundamentals of what has been preached but want to hear it according to the new age for the world.
So I believe the Vatican saying Jesus only for salvation is to get on the good side of the Protestants.
Also the new age believes Jesus is an ascended master among others and the New Age Christ is the next world teacher.
So they will get people to believe in Jesus and then the New Age Christ will put forth the new age Jesus and that he is next in line.
Which Mary is not among the ascended masters so the Vatican might as well cut her out and focus on Jesus and wait for the New Age Christ to influence the world with the new age saying he is after Jesus to influence the world.
Before the New Age Christ claims to be God and savior they will use Jesus' love and forgiveness to try to harmonize the world and put him forth as part of the new age and occult.
Constantine's corruption of the true "church" which is the body of believers, His "Cabinet" to rule and reign into a man made organization where salvation was the goal to achieve and rest there, is slowly being dismantled and brought to the original purpose.

they claim it's the original faith but yet none of their doctrine lines up with anything in the bible.
Awareness of Roman Catholicism's divergence from God's word led to the Reformation. Luther declared that there were 95 errors in RC doctrine. He is said to have fastened his theses to the Wittenburg cathedral door. Luther was not the first to question RC doctrines. But the impact was far greater than any of his predecessors, some of whom were murdered for daring to challenge RC doctrine.
Yet Lutheranism is still an "ism", and misses the mark by replacing personal one on one vital relationship with the indwelling Christ with religious hoops to jump through to receive salvation, and then rest there.

Roman Catholic is a subset of the Catholic.
Catholic is Latin for general ....as in generic...which by definition includes all protestant and separatist denominations that are classified as Christian (mormons and JW need not apply)
There is only ONE leader of the Catholics.....
Roman Catholics have a Pope.
But since the huge huge scandals over the decades of the Roman Catholics most Catholics have returned to the scriptures....and can access all sorts of history and other guides to anthropology and etc to figure out what the scriptures say.
The Jews also had a lineage of Succession....no different from Roman Catholic church does. And the last 2 Popes left EVERYONE wanting better. The current one has been rather silent. The African Dioces and Eastern European Dioces have been infuriated with all the homosexuals running the Cardinals. They actually want a culling to happen.....its that serious.
Between the underground sweat shops, the sex trafficking, the abuse by the homosecual priests of the congregations....

I consider most denominations to be fossilised revivals. Some may get a revelation from God, for example, baptism by immersion, then believe that they have arrived. Woe betide someone who says that there is more to know than the Baptists teach. One very senior figure in the American Baptist organisation said that they are not perfect, but they are as close as it gets. It reeks of spiritual pride.
I experienced something like this in the early days of the charismatic movement. There was contempt for anyone who did not embrace it. Yet the charismatic church I attended was wracked with division and the pastor preached a false doctrine.
The perfect church is only that which is of Christ. Everything else, no matter how good it looks, is dead works and destined for the fire of God's judgement.
