Saul definately didn’t live a “ christian life “ Christianity hadn’t even come to be yet but they had the law of Moses and the covenant between God and the children of Israel .
There were no Christian’s in the ot because the gospel wasn’t yet preached to the people or his name the name of Christ hadn’t yet been revealed nor had remission of sins in his name yet been given . God hadn’t even made all the promises of Christ when Saul was king the ancient isralites weren’t Christian’s.
“The law and the prophets were until John:
since that time the kingdom of God is preached, ( Christianity Christ is king) and every man presseth into it.”

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: ( Christianity ) not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, ( ot law of Moses and Israel’s covenant ) although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:”

Christian’s bear the name of Christ
1st off .. We don't get the right to judge, who goes or who doesn't, Tis God's Judgement SOON to come... And there is Scriptural criteria, for salvation to be met, contrary to the OSAS group. It follows ~~>
Biblical Criteria for Salvation
- Faith in Jesus Christ
- John 14:6 (KJV): “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
- Jesus Himself declares that faith in Him is the only way to salvation. Simply professing to be a Christian is not enough; one must have a personal relationship with Christ.
- Acts 4:12 (KJV): “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
- Salvation is only through Jesus Christ, not by any other means or profession.
- John 14:6 (KJV): “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
- Obedience to God's Commandments
- John 14:15 (KJV): “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
- Love for Christ, expressed through obedience, is essential. Professing Christ without following His commandments is insufficient.
- Matthew 7:21 (KJV): “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
- Simply calling Jesus "Lord" is not enough; doing the will of God through obedience is required for salvation.
- Revelation 22:14 (KJV): “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
- Obedience to God’s commandments is a criterion for entry into heaven.
- John 14:15 (KJV): “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
- A Transformed Life
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
- A true Christian life is marked by transformation. If one claims to be saved but does not experience this change, their faith is incomplete.
- Romans 12:1-2 (KJV): “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
- A renewed mind and transformed life are signs of genuine salvation.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
- The Pharisees (Religious but Unfaithful)
- Matthew 23:27-28 (KJV): “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”
- The Pharisees were religious but failed to live according to the true righteousness of God. They outwardly professed righteousness but were inwardly corrupt. They represent those who may profess to be Christians, but their hearts are not aligned with Christ.
- Matthew 23:27-28 (KJV): “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”
- The Foolish Virgins (Unprepared Despite Profession)
- Matthew 25:1-13 (KJV): The parable of the ten virgins illustrates this principle. Five were wise, having oil in their lamps, and five were foolish, without oil. Though they all professed to be part of the bridegroom’s company, only those who were prepared entered into the wedding feast.
- This story shows that despite their profession, the foolish virgins were unprepared and were shut out, representing those who may claim Christianity but lack true preparation or relationship with Christ.

- The Rich Young Ruler (Professed Following but Lacked True Commitment)
- Matthew 19:16-22 (KJV): “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? ... Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”
- The young ruler professed to follow God’s commandments, but when it came to sacrificing his wealth for the kingdom of God, he was unwilling. This shows that one may profess faith but be unwilling to surrender all to Christ.
- Matthew 19:16-22 (KJV): “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? ... Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”
- Those Who Work iniquity (Empty Profession)
- Matthew 7:22-23 (KJV): “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
- Here, Jesus speaks of those who perform religious acts, but their lives are not truly transformed. Despite their claims to follow Christ, they never truly knew Him or lived according to His will.
- Matthew 7:22-23 (KJV): “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
"The spiritual man judges all things, but he himself is not subject to anyone’s judgment." 1 Corinthians 2:15
We are called to judge in the sense of discernment. There are wolves in sheep's clothing. Those with maturity and discernment need to call them out. "Test the spirits......"

Even a someone who was a Christian for one moment of time will be in heaven after death (the thief on the cross).
The Holy Spirit rested on Saul temporarily. He did not indwell Saul as He does the Christian.
That applies to all OT saints. David prayed, "Do not take your Holy Spirit from me". Those who are born again can quench or grieve the Holy Spirit. But the promise of God is that He will never leave us or forsake us.
Anyone can claim to be Christian. The Lord knows those who are His. Anyone who is born again has the indwelling Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus said that we know them by their fruit. There are some here who are more like lemons than grapes.

Christians.. a nickname that was making fun of us. For me just means follower of Christ. I don't like talking about (forgive me Father) because I still can not fully understand it. I know it was not made for us but Satan and his angels. A place where God is not there. Yet to even exist its by His power. When it was said for God so loved the world He gave His only son that who ever believes in Him will not die by have ever lasting life. Ask Him what He meant by that not your favorite pastor or some group you don't like. As Him. I was what 14 or so asked how can you send all these people to hell? Do you know what He said and no this does not always happen.. oh I wish and pray but He came right back with "for God so loved the world. Every one gets a choice". Me at that age .. no clue what "choice" He meant.
For me one has to know who Christ was what He did to know that and then know if you reject that your lost forever. I cannot for the life of me imagine that I really can't. We are made in His image yes. Then to know what it feels like to lose a loved one. Now amp that up and its GOD that created them and He will never see them again. Some talk about this .. no care at all about Him. He is GOD and just but.. He loved this world before we loved Him.. He came as man sent His only son. To take all the suffering of every human that will ever live.

As to Saul, he was a murderer at heart, full of pride and hatred, and an enemy of God's anointed. He was anointed at one time and prophesied. It's an odd situation. Even the people of the day were bemused.

Desperation. He wanted Samuel back to life. Saul faced a massive army of Philistines. Saul knew that he was in trouble. Saul's heart was revealed. He consulted a medium instead of crying out to God. 1 Samuel 28.
You're right on his desperation because the Holy Spirit left him.
The point I'm trying to make here. The Holy Spirit can do what He thinks is right. This is my view only ofcourse. I dont want to blasphemy the Holy Spirit which is an unforgiven sin.
