2) Faith is 90% courage, 9% endurance, 1% everything else.

3) God starts the walk, God sets the pace, God lays down the pattern, but we are to follow. It's not all of Him, and it's surely not all of us. It is us, like unto Him.

4) Faithing, (pisteuo) is the one thing that He will not force upon us. He ca do everything else for us, but we got to "faithe." He could provide redemption, and covering for our sins. He could provide direction, mansions, and pour His spirit out on us. But without Faith, it is impossible to please God.

Without a continually surrendered life, it is impossible to please God.

5) Faith and faithing, a continually surrendered life is the only tender that will spend in eternity.

6) Faith and faithing, a continually surrendered life, is the trigger that causes the release of God's unmerited favor, wherein we stand as recipients of this gift.

7) We can't enter into God's presence without Faith, without a continually surrendered life.

8) Christ is formed in your hearts by Faith, by a continually surrendered life.

Here are more truths on saving faith and faithing.

1) The English language tends to limit faith to the mind, to belief, to the emotions, and confidence or trust. And it leaves the "will" to another word, "obedience". The English biblical texts thus sets free faith from works. The Greek did not allow that. You don't have "faith" (pistis) until you added the will and hung the body in continuing action on what the mind believed and what the heart had confidence in. It was an expression of the whole man.

You're saying things about Greek not necessarily in Greek words.

Explain this verse - to start, don't retranslate, just explain:

ESV 1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.

When Abraham was declared righteous for pisteuo(ing) God in Genesis 15:6 there was no surrender aspect to it. God told the old and childless Abraham that his seed would become as numerous as the stars in heaven, and Abraham was persuaded in his heart that God was speaking the truth and able to bring it to pass. He believed him by aligning his heart with his promise. That is faith. Making our hearts one with God's words

Studier and crftd,
I thought I was clear. We are authoritively prescribed to test all things. You and your partner have not met the requirements.

That being how you became in Christ. Pisteuo being the sole word that defines how we do that shines the light on everyone.

This light exposes these factors. You've never heard the true definition before, so you haven't fulfilled it "yet ". So that limits what we can discuss concerning God's word.

You even refused to share how "you" understand how you became in Christ, how you discern and fulfilled pisteuo.

I'm probably flirting with breaking the rules here by highlightingthis, but I think you can understand my concern.

Are you able to remedy my concern ? How did you fulfill pisteuo?

You never asked me personally, so I will tell you. I was searching for God because I heard his voice through creation. Then one day out of curiosity I was reading the bible, something I had never done before, and the holy spirit witnessed to my heart that this was the same voice I had been following. I was persuaded and believed.

I started the same way, I think everyone does. But then something else happened and changed everything.

I'll wait for studier to reply for my response.

You've not shown this from Scripture.

I've shown you from Scripture in one of a few places how the Text inextricably attaches obedience to pisteuo. The word "pisteuo" in Greek does not in itself specifically contain obedience. But God puts faith and obedience together, so "genuine pistis" (1Tim1:5; 2Tim1:5) per God's Word includes obedience (1John3:23, and others).

This has to come from Scripture.

It's not the English language that limits faith to the mind. It's theology that does not do the work in the Scripture to understand Genuine Faith as it's explained in God's Word though harmonizing various Scriptures.

As I observed in the beginning, you and I can end up very close, if not at the same conclusions, but as yet, you've not shown in Scripture how this is done.

From what I'm seeing, if you cannot reference Scripture, then you cannot prove your case, be it right or wrong. Vine's is not Scripture and his reference to Scriptures re: surrender needs work. Strong's is not Scripture and your preferring one definition over another in the same reference does not make your choice better than all those who see entole as "command".

To conclude that last paragraph just above, from what I'm seeing, you could use some assistance with Scripture. Maybe you just haven't gotten there yet. Maybe you can't get there - many learn theologies but not Scripture - and many theologies are wrong. Maybe you have a few friends here who would work on the Scripture part with you.

Are you answering my or our tests of you?

You've never heard the true definition before, so you haven't fulfilled it "yet ".

Nonsense.

You even refused to share how "you" understand how you became in Christ, how you discern and fulfilled pisteuo.

I did not read Vine's, maybe on a few occasions here and there that I recall, nor did I listen to Gene Scott for 2,000 hours, nor did I land on "surrender" as the only word that can be used to define believing in God and believing who Jesus Christ is and willingly submitting to God and His Christ as the Creator and Ruler of all creation, including us.

There are several ways to describe this and "surrender" is not formulaic - it's just another English word among several that are better derived from Greek.

If your concern can only be remedied by your favored words in English, then, no, I cannot remedy your concern. I'm very comfortable I meet God's requirements for pisteuo and pistis and many other words as He defines and explains them in His Scriptures and that I am well into the process of being saved by Him according to His Plan.

You really need to begin using Scripture at some point.

Unfortunatly, we're instructed to test, not ask if their comfortable.

Simple question, I'll ask again.
What is your understanding of the word pisteuo, and how did you apply it?

Read the second half of my first paragraph again. Feel free to ask for clarification on any part of it.

Part of the biblical definition of pisteuo and genuine pistis is obeying God. That's a start and an important one - to pisteuo as God commands - for example, to believe in the name of God's Son Jesus Christ as God commands - then add the second command in 1John3:23 - to obey God's command to love one another as Jesus Christ commanded.

From there we can begin adding other words and explanations to pisteuo FROM Scripture in order to allow God to define and explain pisteuo and pistis comprehensively.

For example, there's another thread in process re: loss of salvation. Part of the fairly contentious discussion at the moment (and the topic is most always contentious) is whether or not endurance is part of faith. I would assume you think you need to remain surrendered no matter what happens in your life and if you fail long the way, then you return to that surrendered state. So, does your surrender need to last? Or do you never fail?
