If I forgive someones debt they owe me -- it means they do not have to repay, there is no escaping the penalty of death, it will be paid in full.

Although that "repentance from sin is mandatory" may seem obvious, I think it more accurate to say a "return to God" is necessary for life, and this is impossible apart from the offering of the Lamb. I think it goes without saying that it is our acknowledgement for the need of cleansing from sin that draws us to Him.

Jealousy is distinct from envy in that jealousy is relative to what is rightly yours and envy is what is rightly another's. Thus, he'd rather present a chaste virgin rather than a harlot or an adulteress.

Let us be gald and rejouce, and give honour to him. I would think that this attitude toward him would be required most especially from his wife who "hath made herself ready."

Her faith in her bridegroom is recognized (that is, she believed His declaration of love and she reciprocates), as faith is the righteousness of saints, as well as her purification by the atoning power of his sacrifice, coupled with her faith in Him, is signified in the arrayment of fine linen, clean and white.

This is an absurd statement. Of course our sins are forgiven. Of the many verses that say so, we have,

These are not mutually exclusive options. Both are true. He was the sacrificial lamb upon whom was laid the sins of us all (Isa 53:6) and His death with all our sins on His shoulders satisfied God (Heb 9:12). As a result, our sins are forgiven (see verses above).

If you mean He died spiritually because He who knew no sin was made sin for us (2 Cor 5:21) and that was the price He had to pay because the wages of sin is spiritual death (Ro 6:23), then I agree with you.

Forgiveness of sins is more the result of His actions, not the cause of his actions. However, it is clear that God had in mind the forgiveness of our sins when He decided to send His Son to the earth to bear our sins (see for instance Jeremiah 31:34). So, in a way they are inseperable.

This sounds "cultish" to me in that it ignores the many examples in the historical use of the word (in terms of its use in the Greek world, OT use in the Septuigant, and NT usage) and applies a very narrow definition to a word that occurs only twice in the NT. It is clear that "forgiveness" or "mercy" is in mind in Luke 18:13 -- "And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’" (Lk 18:13).

Besides all this, you didn't even address the point I raised from Hebrews 2, which tells us plainly He became a man so that He could die. He died so that in death He could destroy the one who held the power of death. And destroying the one who had the power of death released us from the captivity of death (because of our sins). Your OP asked for reasons Jesus came to Earth. Hebrews 2 gives us insight into the reason He came.

Christ came to pay the penalty of death all men have earned, not to judge at this time, only the Bride of Christ, the Church of God is being judged at this time. the time for judging all that have ever live comes at a later time. That time is called: The Great White Throne Judgement which is after the 1000 year reign of our KING.
