We aren't supposed to be doubleminded, right? We can't ride the fence between worldly standards and God's.

I'm tired and would really like to get some sleep, but the Lord apparently isn't going to let me do that until I type this, so here I am in obedience. :)

I see threads here where men are criticized for crying/not crying, asking where the godly men are, about men cheating, and so on... In thread after thread after thread, in this forum in particular, there are discussions about strong men, godly men. Women love strong, independent, confident men. I know I sure do. But, here's the thing ladies, they can't be the godly, strong, confident leaders in our churches and families if we continue to insist upon trying to take it away from them.

Strong, intelligent, confident women know who they are and have nothing to prove. And if they are christian woman and know their value in Christ, His ways are so much higher and of far more importance than our own. Women like this are capable of love beyond description. These are the women godly men are searching for....godly women who will allow them to be the godly men they yearn to be.

If we want our homes and churches to be all that they should be, we need to be led by the mind of Christ and the Holy Spirit, not by our PRIDEFULNESS. When we decrease, Christ INCREASES. When we bow, HE raises us up..and not only us, but our families and the Body of Christ as a whole. I can't even begin to fathom what could happen if godly women would surrender the ways of the world and this society to the higher ways of God. We would not be weak. We would be stronger. We would not be beaten down. We would be lifted up, as would those we truly love.

Let go of pride and cling to God with all you have. With all that is in me at this moment I believe something amazing will happen in your life.

LET your man BE your man. LET him love you the way Christ has called him to. LET him protect you. You know as well as I do, ladies, that this is exactly what we want, but we've let the world steal it from us. It's the storyline from almost every fairytale, romance novel and chickflick, so why deny it?

This is here for someone to read tonight. God bless you, whoever you are. :)

Amen! You're so right Jullianna! Not long ago the word submission was even painful to me, I think it actually hurted me to pronounce it haha but now the Lord has been showing me that it's not about me and MY ways, it's about Him, and HIS purpose. God bless you. Let the godly women rise up!

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. - Romans 14:13

I totally understand, kayem. :) There was a time when I thought..wow..this totally STINKS! haha :D I had married at 18, was a college student and young mother, and still maturing in every way, particularly in Christ.

I was reading one thing in the scriptures and hearing other voices in my ears. But, the voices in my ears were coming from women who were engaging in adulterous, repetitious, unsuccessful relationships. The time came when it hit me...why am I listening to people who don't know anymore about this than I do? And I finally came to understand that I was simply wrestling with my own ego, you know?

Once I got that through my head, my marriage improved in so many ways. The wisdom I gained in knowing when to shut up and step back allowed me to see more of my husband than I had before. I respected him even more for the man it allowed HIM to be and intimacy and trust grew in ways I can't describe.

"And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." - James 3:18

"Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other." - Mark 9:50

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." - Matthew 5:9

Gabe, are we on the same thread? :) love those verses though!!

You realise some of us have been skating by thanks to low expectations? :D :p

Seriously now, well said, there's a lesson for all of us in your words, men and women alike.

We need to get back on the right road, and the first step is realising where on it we belong, and most of us are a good way from our proper places.

A post worthy or some rep points, but it seems you've had enough from me, so say the Lords of the internet.

LOL! Well, we certainly can't go against the powers that be of the Internet now, can we :D

It's the thought that counts :)

That happened (and sometimes still happens, I admit) to me! I can imagine you had a hard time learning, a year ago I also thought it was horrible, terrible, and almost gross haha. Since knowing Christ , not long ago really, He has been opening my eyes and touching my heart to see the things as He sees them... and pride was definitely my weak point.

I also discovered that those ANNOYING voices in my head didn't lead to anything good, they were just feeding my own fat pride, and also what they said wasn't even true. I felt pressured to prove myself right, to prove that I'm capable, to prove that I'm smart, succesful, happy, independant, that I don't need anyone, etc. I never stopped to think, wait why do I NEED to prove myself? haha

I discovered that I shouldn't fear if I'm in his hands, there's no possible way He won't protect me if I'm submitting to what He says, even if I don't like it at first. If everyone really answered to their callings, men and women, I think society would be different, at least the christian society.

Thanks for your this thread Julliana :) you should write a book! ;)

Exactly! You are a bright, loving, very capable young woman. You don't have anything to prove. You're awesome just as you are. :)
