So, what are the qualities that make up a good friend to you?

I only ask because, I strongly believe that the best mate to have in life is a good and strong friend.

Do you, yourself, reflect the values that you've listed and posted?

This dosen't have to be about marriage, but also in buddies, friends, and family. The people that you connect with on a level that goes deep.
 
I believe a good friend is someone who will stand by you in times of hardships, someone you can truly trust and count on, someone who understands and listens to you, someone you can easily open up to and share together your inner most feelings or even secrets. I think if one is single & they have a friend with such qualities, then that would be the right person to yoke with in marriage 'coz in most cases such a person is always your confidant.
 
A friend is someone who tolerates our shortcomings and all the annoying litle things we do
 
A friend is someone who always welcomes you back with open arms no matter what you've done (prodigal son style).

My best friend was at the hospital with me when I had a c-section, and waited outside of surgery for them to wheel me out. I had just barely woken up from the drugs they knocked me out with as soon as my son was born, and lo and behold, the first face I saw was my friend's :) One of the nurses who was wheeling me down the hall was trying to comfort me, I guess, by saying, "And look, your friend is even still here!" In my very groggy state, I said "No BLEEP she is, where else would she be?"

A friend is someone who never leaves you any doubt that they'll be right there with you, especially on your worst days.
 
A good friend is someone who has your back, no matter what. Someone who is honest and is not scared to tell you that you're wrong. Someone who listens, and knows when to speak. Those are things I really appreciate in a friendship; likewise, those are things I try to do as a friend.

Karla is def a great friend. :)

A good friend is someone who knows you- your weaknesses and your strength, helps you to become a better person and a better christian. Knows how to cheer you up when youre down, knows how to correct you when youre being a brat. Who quietly stays by your side when all words fail, their presence alone gives you comfort. I may sometimes fail as a friend, but this is what I strive to be.

a friend is someone who listens. and validates who you are, even if they don't always agree with what you have to say. a true friend is one who keeps their heart open to you and God, and talks about it when either one of those relationships is in jeopardy.

a friend is someone who carefully adheres to the beautiful, yet unspoken rules of give and receive.

i try to be those things. <3

exactly. if they're not there on your worst days, then they don't deserve to be there on the best. i have one like that <3
 
A good friend: a person who understands you as much as you understand them, but still enjoys your company anyhow.
 
Don't have such friend because apparently my best friend from childhood didn't vizit me in hospital at my worse, i was there a whole week all by my self cz my family was in a different state.

i believe the only true friend is Jesus because at my very worst times when everyone seems too busy to help me or to stand me by when i needed the most then i hear a voice in my inner man and i know it's Jesus :)

Thats so sad that your friend didn't even visit you. If I was your friend I would have visited you everyday. God bless.
 
A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked
