I agree.

He has not a clue of the problem solving devices. He has not a clue of how to live the Christian way of life.......He doesn't even know the basics of The Lord Jesus Christ living, dying and rising again for ALL OF MANKIND.

He is a patsy.
well if the shoe fits wear it.

So............

Now you see salvation is equal privilege and equal opportunity For ALL?
This thread isn't about me.

And I've already answered this parroted question to you personally already, you really have no idea what so ever what I believe, so dont assume that you do, neither do you have any idea of my wisdom my knowledge my walk, so again dont assume that you do.

I'll wait for you to correct your statement before you once again try to correct me

Salvation is for ALL. It is offered to all. And ALL have the opportunity to accept or reject it.

Preach it and TEACH it.....John 3:16, Acts 16:31

What does John 3:16 teach about mans fallen nature ability to choose to Believe this passage. This passage does not teach everyone has the the power to accept or reject Christ

John 3:16 whoever believes in Christ will have eternal life

The passage teaches that everyone who believes in Christ will be saved, and will have eternal life. It doesn't teach whoever will believe

Your none reformed view is the same as all none reformed views, that all people have the power to accept or reject Christ, which can not be backed up with scripture.

You should not reverse what the scripture actually teaches, and the scripture clearly states that only those who believe will have eternal live.

And only those who believe are drawn by god, and made to believe.

I Did/thought the same thing!

They must have not really "got into the teachings."

Agree, in my experience is no need to listen to anyone who teaches a false soteriology (a serious error) there are plenty of other teachers to whom one can listen.

What his son thinks, is in line with what his dad thought.
It is in the literature.

so in other words what your teaching is we shouldn't listen to anyone who has a sin ? And also we shouldn't listen to anyone who has a son that sins, but yet on the other hand, you won't acknowledge depraved means we are fallen from the result of the original sin. What a contrast you make of yourself. That you will happily ruin the life of a man for, a sin he looks as if he repented for, all tho his interview of jr sproul I listened to suggests he was repenting for something else.

And why should we listen to your claims that we don't have full knowledge of, or have full evidence of the claims made are actually accurate against him, as I believe he also makes reference to a website being hijacked.

And if a sin has been made how do you know they've not repented,

I have heard an interview from jr sproul where he thought it was the right thing to do and repent about a sin, publicly about moral wrongs in his life, but since many people have never let it go, where as people who know what repenting means have.

What his son thinks or believes is immaterial to me.
It happens everytime I post a sermon somebody digs up some dirt, and if they can't find any they will say something mean anyway,
Its almost like they would rather choose a way to demonise people rather than accept a simple truth, because they've argued that long they just won't come to an agreement, even if it means shooting a person down

That is part of being a public figure, their ideas/doctrine/thoughts are open criticism.

If you want this thread to be an echo chamber then make it clear.

that doesn't make your critism acceptable, and if your really interested here's is his explanation of showing why he preaches from, 14 minutes on for just for 4 minutes he gives clear instruction hes not about forcing his beliefs on anyone, and gives reason as why he's so careful when speaking publicly, and is against speakers who don't behave appropriately.

It is about content not behaviour.

In this sermon we get clear insight where the doctrine of total depravity originates from, some 1000 years before John Calvin, from saint Augustine.

We also get clear insight into what it means what it entails and why we need to understand it. As if we understand the t in tulip the rest of tulip just falls into place very easily.

Key points original sin does not mean we inherit the original sin but because of the first mans.sins our nature became corrupted.

No one is perfect we are all sinners because of our sinful nature.

Total depravity does not mean a person can be as wicked as they can possibly can, be but rather it effects the whole nature of a person, including his will and his capacity to think because his nature has become weakened and darkened.

The will of man is no longer in it's pristine state.of moral power, but the will of man is now in bondage and enslaved to the impulses of heart that become corrupted by evil intentions of the original sin, where by the mind and soul has become infected by the power of sin.

The sermon goes on to say most would agree where fallen and fallen is a serious thing,

The debate then goes onto focus on how far mankind has fallen.

His viewpoint goes as far to say he changes the t in tulip to say radical corruption, on the idea that radical is something that means it permeates to the core of the things, core meaning the heart, and sin being something that comes from the heart.

He then goes on to suggest the only cure is nothing less than renovation and regeneration and being quickened by the spirit.

Heres the very insightful sermon in my view point spoken with great Care and empathy for those who are fallen

I'd like to see your source for the claim about Augustine.

It's in his sermon at the beginning that you probably haven't even listened to, and if you did no doubt it never sunk in.

Again I'll ask you does mans free will mean absolute freedom which means something called autonomy.

again if your interested then listen to his defense of what your arguing against from 14 mins on and then comment

I am familiar with his work, albeit is was a long while ago I used to listen and read his work, if I have time, later, I may listen to him and refresh my memory. :cautious:

it's from 11 mins 45 secs in the sermon on for a few mins from that point, now he's a public professor that is under strict conditions to fully include the truth.

What is a public professor? And under strict conditions of who or what?
