Most of the time when an uneasy feeling creeps in, it's either you're about to do something or doing something that isn't in line with God's will or that there's something happening somewhere. If it's something that I'm doing or about to do that I start feeling uneasy, i start praying. The prayer doesn't have to necessarily be aloud or with my eyes shut. So wherever I am, I can pray.
If it's a critical moment the prayer has to be short and go like,"my very dear Father in Heaven, I don't know what this uneasy feeling's about. Please help me and let me do according to your will; for your will is always the best for me. Guide Me with your Light in what I'm doing/ I'm about to do, so I may Honor you at the end no matter what the outcome is; for it's always for the best. Please let me not do according to my will but according to yours, so I may have peace within. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen." If it's not really critical and you got more time to pray, or it's rather a situation where you feel something's off around you or you're just having an uneasy feeling, just pour out your heart about the ongoing situation to the lord. I most of the time use quotations in my prayers. For some quotations, I apply their contents. For others, i use the words to pray. I don't use just one quotation in a prayer. I may use a lot in one prayer. (Better still, I can pray without any quotations at all. it's not a one way thing). For instance, praying with the below quotations will go like this;
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
My words in prayer; mighty Jesus, I've been feeling uneasy for a while now, but your word tells me to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, I should present my requests to you. So I'm pleading with you to......(You continue with your words according to your situation)[but one thing is that your words matter. Humility matters. You're not Commanding Him, you're Asking Him)
Psalm 62:8 (NIV)
“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
(this verse tells me that at all times, in all situations, no matter how high or how low the tension of a situation is, I'll still pour my heart to God because He's my refuge)
My words in prayer;"Jesus, here I am, pleading with you, pouring out my heart to you, to ( do this and that for me.........)[ describe your situation and pour out your heart to him]"
Psalm 145:18–19 (NIV)
“The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.”
(This verse explains that if you want your desires fulfilled, your requests granted, your cry heard, you should fear the Lord. For he fulfills the desires of those who fear Him, hears their cry and saves them.To fear him is to obey his commandments and live according to His will. To call on him in truth is to call on him wholeheartedly, believing he will answer, WITHOUT any doubt.)
And you should also have this in mind;
Mark 11:24 (NIV)
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
