Yea where would I go?
The Greek Orthodox church? My friend joined it just to get married there.
can't help you there. reminds me of a situation around here: no exciting Bible teacher-preachers. dead churches everywhere.

There are also singles between 30 and 40 years old in our church, and I am one of them. Everyone has been praying for us for many years. All I can do is to wait and prepare my best by God's word and faith. During this period, I was disappointed and frustrated many times, but he still made me stand up.

What do you mean stand up?
He didn't humiliate you, did he?

Oh that's sad.
I suppose you met your wife at church.
no. in 2013, my neighbor's husband died. i knew them well. because they were poor, i mowed their lawn & shoveled snow for them for free. their son worked for me also. so jump to 2016, i noticed she was lonely. so i mentioned to her that we could start a games group with church attendees. she agreed. in February, she called me up & said a bunch of girls came over, so come on over. i did. we played a bunch of games. there was a girl i was thinking about but i noticed she didn't like that fact that i was winning often. she was feisty. so i said to myself, "i'll never date her". so the next week & weeks after we all played games. 1 day she called me, after asking numerous questions to the other girls about me, & asked if i wanted to go to dinner & attend a Christian play. i said yes. next week she wanted to dine & attend a Christian movie & so we did. we dated often & married in 2017.

Second question. What are your thoughts on meeting a potential mate at church?
Personally, I believe as single Christians we're probably not going to be meeting our future spouse at a bar, so that's not really an option. And we all know online dating is pure torture. So where are single Christians supposed to meet each other?

Have you tried going over their head to the big boss? Or, have you prayed about it is what I mean. Tell the Lord, I want a husband! Do you have one here for me at this church? And then stop worrying about it and let the Lord do what the Lord has planned for you. Draw closer to Him and learn to be able to hear his still small voice. If you talk to Him so much then you will start hearing Him and understanding Him.

Do you think you can pick out a husband better than the Lord can? That's my best advice.

The power of the gospel breaks down all social barriers, in the church of Jesus Christ people of all backgrounds, ages and different social statuses come together as one new body, one family. The one big distinction now in society is between the saved and unsaved, those who belong to God and those who belong to the devil. There is no barrier between believers, we are one in Christ. How then does it benefit the cause of Christ to split his body up into cliques based on often artificial worldly characteristics? Where in the New Testament does the authority for splitting the body into these cliques come from? Many times in the New Testament it talks about one. One body, one place, one accord.

God Bless All :)

说得好!我同意,仔细看的话,有些墙其实很矮!感谢上帝!Lol.

hmm I've never actually told a pastor I wanted a husband.
As for telling God, I think He knows this. We have this thing in NZ called 'hire-a-hubby' so you don't need to have one all the time.

When He did think I was serious, He sent me a divorced guy from Christchurch, who was nice, but..I got scared and ghosted him. Also he had problems with lust. I just didn't want to go there. I didn't want to satisfy someone's lust or be the second wife. So meh. If God could pick someone else please. Also it was not my church, but a kind of fundamentalist type one, and I am kinda over them. They are too strict and I don't want to be debating theology with them.

What was the christian play and movie? Just curious.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat? Jesus Christ, Superstar?
War Room?
Ben Hur? The Ten Commandments? A Hallmark one?

I'm sorry, I did not mean the Pastor, I meant His Boss, the Lord.

As for telling God, you think he knows this? You are correct, He does know it. But it's mot the same as talking to Him about it!

Like they say...You have not because you ask not!

So the Lord sent you one and you said no. Are you sure he was from the Lord?

I tried to say no to God once, it didn't work out so well and I did wind up obeying Him. So if that guy was truely from the Lord to you, you ,ay see him again, lol.

If not, good luck with your hunting.

Oh ok, well pretty sure it was Him, who else would it be. Christian guy.
Can't force me and no I never saw him again. If he wants to get in contact with me he can. But I don't want to instigate something that won't work out.

And don't you think I told Him about it? Are you trying to make me crazy?

I'm not even HUNTING. If I shot and killed a man, I'd be in jail. He found me.

i don't remember the movie but the play was acted by Johnstown local actors & called "war room". our 1st dinner was forgettable. my wife ( g.f. then ), picked a restaurant in Johnstown i would never have dined at. we were the only ones there & we waited for our food 45 minutes. & the food was average. we had to rush to get to the movie & we made it just about a minute before it started. we even had trouble finding a parking spot. the movie was 1 that was just released around 2010 -2016.

I didn't know that. All you said was you ghosted him. So it's good you prayed about it. Maybe should keep on praying?!

是的,虽然我确实被美国那些房子的大小惊呆了,那些房子简直是豪宅,只适合三口之家居住。但也许这就是重点,因为丈夫虽然富有,却有出轨的念头。
I watched this movie three times. Don't many Americans live in houses like this?
