That's where we eagerly await more news on the side tangent that cv5 actually touched on earlier in post 918; the striking the Zagros Mountains. Not only do they have many bunkers and complexes built into these mountains. Really our bunker busters aren't seen as a big tech marvel, but if you think about it we're the only country with super advanced bunker busters and they're a game canger bigly. Iran, unlike Venezuela have a lot of hardcore fortress dug into mountains that form a natural geographic shield in their West. This is why last year the fact Hegseth was able to easily pierce their mountain nuclear facilities was a big deal. This operation further demonstrates this tech edge for USA, but is also gonna get tested even more.

While the Zagros Mountains are where s their cutting edge technollogical researches (nuclear weapons, drones, ai, cyberwarfare hubs, etc.). Besides their more obvious airforce and drone capabilities, really the more interesting targets at the moment might be where a lot of their equipment for more electronics and sensory equipment and communications capabilities that are based here not just for fortification but really because the high altitude (think like even just basic radar). Destroying these deals an incredibly significant immediate blow to the temporal-technical capabilities of the IrRGC military and regime, it will be like like crippling their eyes, ears, and tongues all in one (their sensory organs) and kneecapping them (crippling some of their drones, missiles, and more standard air ordinance/assets as well as future research) at the same time..

Old articles but some context for why in the short term you might want to consider Zagros Mountains for the geography bee..

How did end of war bunker mentality work out for the Nazis? Not so good.

Bunkers are static expensive strategically useless dinosaurs. Slow death in the dark 300m deep is a crummy way to go.
All that is required is to destroy the ingress egress passages, a ridiculously simple task.

They will have to wait until the job is done. I’m no politician, but fact is that there is an ongoing operation which cannot be halted on the grounds of technicalities. This is the time to rally around the flag.
Galadriel joins the side of the revolution, oh yea we gonna win this for sure! Praise Jesus!

It's hilarious for fighting US I get, but not to defend the cult, but I'd say its actually smart for them considering fighting their neighbors in the region which they have been doing steadily since 1979. The Zagros Mountains of course have a formed a notable geographical natural defense for Iran for all of history. You think more simply like fighting an enemy more on par to their tech like Saddam in the 80s before I was born this is a actually a big advantage for Iran to have a network of mountain fortresses and their complexes underground. They were even to a degree effective deterrent to America even in ancient times past, but indeed alas America has surged ahead and overcome the challenges of mountain warfare, largely due to experience gained and challenges faced in Afghanistan War. It's a major point of interest, and there still may be challenges to it, in this sense the strikes on the Zagros Mountains fortresses are also somewhat experimental on our end as well. We will overcome these challenges thanks to God, praise Jesus.

Iran can do decapitation strikes too. The places are crawling with informants

The Iranians have basically zero resources when compared to the VAST intelligence apparatus of Mossad and CIA.
They (IRGC/Basij/leadership) are all doomed men lest they capitulate early and seek immunity IMO. Even then, I doubt that many will survive the upcoming trials. The Iranians know who they are, and will demand accountability.

  • HUMINT: Mossad is famous for deploying operatives to infiltrate networks and maintain eyes on key individuals, especially political or military leadership.
  • SIGINT: Eavesdropping is done through electronic surveillance, sometimes with cooperation from global intelligence partners or via cyber tools.
  • Combined Operations: Often described as a “targeted intelligence grid” in intelligence studies—coordinating location tracking, communication interception, and threat assessment.

The Afghanis were tough as nails and could live in a cave in the mountains and had the backing of the people.
The Iranian apparatchiks? I doubt it. They would be dead in a couple of weeks from starvation and exposure.
The Basij are street thugs riding around on scooters, they are not seasoned guerilla fighters.
Not only that, the Iranian people hate them with good reason so different scenario.

Well yea the Basij are literally just the militia literally just the morality police of the cult, or indeed the thugs in the mafia structure Though they are the more overt evil, they'll be toppled more easily, the people are numerous and as they lose their commanders and oficials they're in complete disarray already just from the killing of Moosh Ali. Those in the mountains are the IRGC military and their more elite military as well as scientists at that. These are the remaining big fish to catch for the proposed phase 2 as well as severely crippling or setting back key technological programs that our officials have mentioned (ie: nuclear program, drone program, ballistics missiles program, etc.)

Bunkers are great, it saves us the trouble of having to bury the bodies. No fuss, no mess.

Gaza is their allies, oh wait. Scratch that. Hezbollah, hmmm, ok Syria, they are their ally! Or were. How about Yemen?
Actually on this front even the more pro Balestine people might want to reconsider, Iran has launched rockets at the Balestinians too, they're literally going full suicide death cult right now and betraying all their allies.

While of course they don't like Israel and take that angle and what they say with a big old grain of salt, take note their more liberal western supporters might want to distance themself from Iranian regime, don't support their cult, look they're even attacking their own. They are even in the softer power way causing problems for Gaza too with new border closures, and not just by Israel which is really just standard safety to temporarily seal their border, but consider even the other arab and muslim countries in the region are locking it down too like Egypt and Saudi Arabia and Jordan too rather because they're all ticked with Iran for betraying them, no great conspiracy, but a crazy plottwist i guess, but it's pretty straightforward and rational.

Now that the operation is on, it’s paramount to finish it properly leaving no loose ends.
When your actual conspiracy theory to ship Galadriel and Hegseth together across a wide array of your foreign policy vision of the golden path is going, dare I pun, swimmingly :)
