Considering the claims of exclusivity that are made throughout the Bible (see some of them below), I find what you say about the Early Church impossible to believe. I know that there were heretics and blasphemers that made such claims back then, but not the church as a whole. In fact, it seems to me that if such claims of inclusivity (with other world religions) were taught by the Early Church (that these other religions were also legitimate faiths, along with Christianity), then there must be evidence for it, so please point us to it.
On a more positive note, such a teaching could be useful in this particular thread though, because it is perhaps the quintessential example of what heresy (or perhaps blasphemy?) really is (IOW, a teaching that stands diametrically opposed to that which is taught to us by God is the Bible).
