It would be possible to have a robot horse now, with the new technology. Such as the tech that allows the horse to stay balanced.

Horses also don't get thermal runaway and spontaneous combusion... they just poop; but that's better than literally exploding.
Sheesh, why don't you check out facts. In America, there are far more Internal Combustion Engine fires than EV battery fires per mile driven. The clue is in the name - combustion. That's data courtesy of the National Safety organisation.

Electric vehicles do not produce methane, unlike horses. For sure I'd much rather ride my bike behind an EV than a horse.

There is no free lunch

OK, so that is going to cut off oil going to China. If they enter the global market they will bid the price up. If they can't get oil their economy grinds to a halt. China's economy is like one of the two engines to the world's economy. One way or another the world will pay for this oil being cut off. It is a zero sum game. All the sanctions have done is make the oil that Iran ships to China more expensive. Either that means Iran gets less profit or China has slimmer margins. But either way it enters the global market chain. Also, cutting off oil from Iran and Venezuela to China threatens China existentially. This is why Japan entered WW2 and it is likely going to be the reason China enters WW3.
Looking at total Chinese imports, Iranian shadow exports only account for 10% of their total daily imports.
Iranian exports to China have averaged about 1.03 million barrels per day in 2025.

Therefore the impact of an Iranian shutdown is far from apocalyptic.

"Using a modest figure of 1 million barrels per day (bpd) as a baseline, here is how that stacks up against China’s total daily imports as of early March 2026.

Currently, China’s total crude oil imports are averaging between 11.5 million and 12.5 million bpd."

Good News! All of those who have been against this war, especially all those ones who were outraged at the two people killed by ICE agents, they are all now going to be supporting the war against Iran! The IRGC is threatening to kill any Iranians who go out on the street. No doubt we should see RA, and Seed_time and HeisHere rally behind Trump to get rid of these horrible killers.

I understood that Iran produces 5% of the world's oil and prior to these attacks on Iran's oil, they took out about 5% of the world's oil from the other Mideast nations.

Now add Venezuela to the equation of oil being cut off from China and for China it is apocalyptic and for the rest of the world it is enough to break the camel's back of this global economy. The US will be fine, but other nations will collapse into anarchy and chaos.

I would love to have a small farm with a couple of horses, as long as I had someone who could take good care of them.
Had horses for a while. Vet bills and farriers and feeding and poop shoveling is...... epically exhausting. And you had better be fit whole and healthy.

It's a full time job. And expensive.
There is no money to be made in horses that's for sure.

They are building an all terrain rideable horse.

I know it says all terrain, but you would not expect to walk thru a river with it.

China is adopting EV's faster than anywhere in the world. That means less dependence on oil imports. EV owners don't worry about fuel prices. Last year, 50% of new cars sold in China were battery electric. It's amazing what can happen when a country is not beholden to the oil industry.

One reason China has done that, is because of the pollution. Most of china cities sit inside valleys, closed valleys.

No....Iran presently produces something like 1.5% of global production.

But produces 10% of Chinese consumption.

"Historical Peak: In the 1970s, Iran produced over 6 million bpd. If they were at that capacity today, their total production (not just exports) would represent about 6% of global consumption."

Hydrogen powered? Avoid it like the plague. I spent 15 years dealing with oil and gas industries. Hydrogen is terrible to work with, dangerous, difficult to handle, produce and store. There are no successful hydrogen powered cars. Busses, yes. You would not get me on one or anywhere near a refueling station.

This is actually a bad thing to destroy their oil infrastructure. This makes rebuilding their society harder. It is true it's effective of course in destroying them, but this is not a good turn to the operation. A hidden danger in Iran's cult regime literally backstabbing everyone in the region. They might not be so caring about rebuilding Iran, they might just want revenge, also consider how it's kinda embarassing for them to have gone to great lengths to stall the USA before this. Though it may seem a trivial point in their honor culture there is a sort of element to the shamefulness and underhandedness Iran went to in not just physically striking them, but after they had gone out of their way to actually lowkey help Iran and forestall USA, they still did them all dirty too. Not only was it injurious what Iran did to them, but there's a strong element of dishonor here as well which matters alot in a region of societies with a strong "honor culture" as it is called. This is where we need to channel the outrage by the GCC and other neighboring Middle East nations struck in Iran death cult jim jones attacks to work in coordination with US.

We planned around them originally because of them and now they want in which complicates the matters if everyone is disjointed and chaotic it opens the door to accidents like we saw before indeed and there is a lil merit to some of these points by HIH and CRFTD. We want to destroy the regime and the cult (which the cult is dead now) but not destroy the country and the people. With the threat of the cult and the james bond villain weapons successfully mitigated, Iran's plot twist betrayal makes all its neighbors want revenge in ways that could destroy the State itself. They could also be a positive unique opportunity too if they could be coordinated with US into the honorguard for Pahlavi to revisit Iran and make his case and tour. Having the honorguard be made up of multiple nations helps tamp down the concerns about imperialism as it can include troops from many of the countries in the region which Iran spewed their last gasp missiles at. This helps fulfill their culture's need for revenge but also in a way that they can be heroic instead of just rage. With US leadership, if they're willing to see things our way now that they see we told the truth and the mahdi cult lied to them, they can be a positive force and also help with the resetting of the new Free Iran's foreign relations especially regionally.

Praise Jesus, most our early prayers are answered, and it can only be by God whom is Jesus, I expect we will see the final resolution of the revolution coming into focus soon. But indeed as for the total end final end of this opera and Pahlavi's choice and aftermath after he returns, that is not something we can choose nor tell, but we will all see it together the path is cleared for his creturn and choice to at least happen. The revolution is nearing completion, but the campaign to crush the Old World Order proto-Beast System and Satan's spiritual kingdom of cells of principalities and powers of darkness and lay the foundations of the Imperium of the Saints destined to overthrow it continues (Daniel 7:26-27) Praise Jesus!

Because I wasn't comparing them to ICE vehicles, I was comparing them to horses.

EV fires burn hotter. They're also less reliable vehicles. Most of America does not want them or care about them.

You obviously do not remember the so-called oil shock in the 1970's. There was panic a few decades ago that the world is running out of oil. The "chicken little" people have been proven wrong over and over again. There are still vast reserves in the ground. There are a number of producing nations that can make up any shortfall. Like the 1970's, there may be some problems. But anarchy and chaos? No.
