I understood that Iran produces 5% of the world's oil and prior to these attacks on Iran's oil, they took out about 5% of the world's oil from the other Mideast nations.
Now add Venezuela to the equation of oil being cut off from China and for China it is apocalyptic and for the rest of the world it is enough to break the camel's back of this global economy. The US will be fine, but other nations will collapse into anarchy and chaos.

I know it says all terrain, but you would not expect to walk thru a river with it.
China is adopting EV's faster than anywhere in the world. That means less dependence on oil imports. EV owners don't worry about fuel prices. Last year, 50% of new cars sold in China were battery electric. It's amazing what can happen when a country is not beholden to the oil industry.

This is actually a bad thing to destroy their oil infrastructure. This makes rebuilding their society harder. It is true it's effective of course in destroying them, but this is not a good turn to the operation. A hidden danger in Iran's cult regime literally backstabbing everyone in the region. They might not be so caring about rebuilding Iran, they might just want revenge, also consider how it's kinda embarassing for them to have gone to great lengths to stall the USA before this. EV fires burn hotter. They're also less reliable vehicles. Most of America does not want them or care about them.
You obviously do not remember the so-called oil shock in the 1970's. There was panic a few decades ago that the world is running out of oil. The "chicken little" people have been proven wrong over and over again. There are still vast reserves in the ground. There are a number of producing nations that can make up any shortfall. Like the 1970's, there may be some problems. But anarchy and chaos? No.
